## **2 – Objectives & Activities of the Charity:** 

A summary of the objectives of the Charity as set out in its governing document: 

Objectives: 

- For the public benefit, the relief and assistance of people in need in any part of the world who are the victims of war or natural disaster or catastrophe or in poverty by supplying donations to them through other charities or government approved organizations in any part of the world. 

Public benefit that is provided by the Charity 

The trustees confirm that they have compiled with their duty to have due regard to guidance on public benefit published by the Commission in exercising their powers. 

The Charity’s aims including the changes or differences it seeks to make 

The Charity aims to benefit the local community, especially children, young people, the elderly and people of a particular ethnic or racial origin. 

An explanation of the Charity’s main objectives for the year 

## **Please provide details of what the objectives have been during this year** 

- To raise funds by accepting donations and passing these donations to people in needs in countries Palestine, Gambia, Yemen and Somalia. 

Explanation of the strategies for achieving objectives 

The Charity’s strategy is to provide assistance to people in needs in various countries around the world by accepting donations from member of publics. 

The Charities Voluntary Board of members is selected every year by election in the Annual General Meeting has worked hard with limited resources to try to achieve the above objectives and has been successful with many of them. 



## **Details of significant activities including its main programme, projects or services** 

The Charity use to have smaller premises where we could not do all the activities it wanted to. The Charity now has a large building which can be used to run many activities in a better environment and to raise money to support its objectives. 

The Charity has carried out the following activities in support of its activities during the year: 

- Provided and arranged meetings, conferences and commemorations and provided food at some of these events; 

- Brought in people from outside the Charity, such as doctors, teachers, psychologist to educate and help people; 

- Provided breakfast for users of charity once every month to join with families, 

- Arranged a picnic to bring the community together for a day of activities; and 

- Visited both Turkish Embassy and Turkish Cypriot Foreign Office to inform them about objectives off IHH with a return to have advise on them. 

- Visited Local Radio stations “Cyprus Young Radio” to carry out a broadcasting to make awareness of the Charity and people in need. 

- Visited Turkish Martyrdom in Portsmouth to give our respect, 

- Helped people in different places of the world to ease their sacrifice for various forms 

## **The Charity’s grant making policies** 

The Charity has not given any grants to date nor has it set out any policy yet. However, the Trustees plan to consider making grants in line with the Charity’s objectives in the future. Hence, trustee numbers are in the process of being increased as some education grant bodies requires minimum of three trustees. 

## **The contribution of volunteers** 

The contribution of volunteers is unaccountable as they have worked very hard using their free time to achieve the Charity’s objectives.  The Charity has a board of Trustees, a Board of members, an Audit Committee and a Discipline Committee all of whom are volunteers who are elected once a year during Annual General Meeting. 

## **3 - Achievements & Performance of the Charity:** 

## **A Summary of the main achievements of the Charity during the year** 

The Charity has organised many activities with limited resources and achieved most of its goals. The activities are listed in the above sections in this year also which added activities and seminars. 

- Organised third event between Turkish and Syrian Community in London under Covid19 restrictions. Both communities have found the opportunity to know each other and plan activities between. 

- During Aid Festive season we have arranged to help people in Somalia and Gambia. We have provided food packages to those who is in need. 

- Qurbani Meat Project – distributing to poor people in Somalia 



- Ramadan Food Aid Project – distributing to poor people in Somalia with the assistance of Tamkin Foundation for social service. 

- Provided assistance to poor and needy people with health programme in Gambia. 

- - Help people in Palestinian with food aids. 

## **4 – Structure, Governance & Management:** 

Nature of the Governing Document and constitution of the Charity 

The charity is constituted as a company limited by guarantee and is therefore governed by a memorandum and articles of association. The directors of the company are also trustees of the charity. Eligibility for membership of the charity and membership of the board of trustees is governed by the memorandum and articles of association. There are no restrictions in the governing document on the operation of the charity or on its investment powers, other than those imposed by general charity law. 

Methods adopted for the recruitment and appointments of new trustees 

The trustees are recruited from volunteers.  They are selected during the Annual General Meeting and expected to have good eye over the Charity activities and financial affairs and are highly respected in the community. 

## **The policies and procedures adopted for the induction and training of trustees** 

There is no formal procedure for the training of Trustees.  We endeavour to keep up to date on Charity Commission legislation. 

There are three trustees at present who runs and controls the Charity with help of committee elected by members each year and audit team. 

## **Relationship with other groups, charities, individuals** 

We have no related parties or subsidiaries.  The Charity has an ongoing relationship with other groups and members which are good.

## **Financial review of the position at the reporting date, 28 February 2021** 

The trustees consider the financial performance by the charity during the year to have been satisfactory. Our principle funding sources are regular fund-raising activities and the donations made by members. 

There has been deficit in the profit and loss account due to supporting our causes little more and we are trying hard to avoid this in future. 

## **Investment policy and objectives** 

We do not have an investment policy. All our income, with the exception of a small cash flow, is reinvested in the charity for its purposes. The money kept in the current account and available all the times. 

## **Specific changes in fixed assets** 

We have no large amount reserves at present and money collected for donations purposes donated to people who is in need in poor part of the world.

Turnover
Turnover is measured al the lair value of Ihe consideration received or ieceivable, nel ol discounts
and value added taxes. Turnover includes rev8nue earned from the sale ol goods and from Ihe
rendering of services. Turnover from the sale ol goods ig recognised when Ihe significant risks and
rewards ol ownership ol the goods have transferred lo the buyer. Turnover from the rendering ol
8ervicos is recognised by reference to the stage ol completion of the contract. The stage ol
completion ol a contract is measured by comparing the costs incurred lor work pe¥lormed lo dale
to the lolal eslimaled conlracl costs.

Tangible fixed assets are measured at cosl18ss accumulative depreciation and any accumulalive
impairment losses. Depreciation is provided on all tangible fixed assols, other than freehold land, at

impairment losses for bad and doubtful debts. Loans and other linanclal assets are inilially
recognised al transaction pric8 including any transaction costs and subsequently measured at

Short term creditors are measured al transaction price Iwhich is usually the invoice pricel. Loans
and other financial liabilities are initially recognised at transaction price net ol any Iransaclion costs

recover lax paid in a previous period. Deferred tax is recognised in respect of all timing dillerences
b&lwe8n the recognition ol income and expenses in the Ilnancial stal&menls and their inclusion in
tax assessment8. Unrelieved lax losses and other deferred lax assets are r8cognised only lo the
exlenl that il is probable that they will be recovered against the reversal of delerred tax liabllilies or
other lulure taxable profits. Deferred lax is measured using the tax lates and laws that have been
enacted or subslanlively enacled by the reporting dalo and that are expected lo apply lo the
reversal ol the liming dill8rence, except lor revalued land and investment properly where the lax
rale that applies to the sale ol the asset is used. Current and deferred tax assets and liabilities are
not discounted.
