## _Charitable Objectives:_ 

The Charity has two main charitable aims to - 

1. Manage the Capel Sports Pavilion 

2. Encourage participation in healthy recreation 

## **Review of Activities and Achievements** 

## _Management of the pavilion_ 

Costs for running the facility are now better understood and so arrangements are now in place to make the facility financially sustainable with the cross charging of costs to the main users of the pavilion. 

## _Encourage participation_ 

## Cricket 

Junior cricket is still taking pride of place at Capel Cricket club with the ECB Allstars program being delivered again last year and 5 junior sides.  Five senior sides including the Women’s team are also regularly playing league cricket. 

## Football 

From a small start in 2019 Capel Comets Youth Football Club is now fielding up to ten junior sides – a remarkable achievement. 

The senior football sides of Capel Football Club continue to play at high levels with the first team in the Southern Combination Football League and the second team in Division One of the West Sussex Football League.

## **Structure, Governance and Management** 

The Charity is constituted as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation and currently has 8 trustees.  The Trustees have volunteered for the role and the constitution allows other trustees to be elected or co-opted. 

Appointed Trustees have been made aware of the need to run the Charity for public benefit. 

An executive committee has been appointed to look after the day to day management of the charity and the pavilion.
