**Objects:** "THE CHARITY’S OBJECTS ARE:(A) TO FURTHER THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE HISTORY OF COLLINGHAM AND ITS SURROUNDS AND TO PROMOTE AND FOSTER PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE, UNDERSTANDING AND APPRECIATION OF THE HISTORY OF THE AREA IN GENERAL(B) TO UNDERTAKE RESEARCH INTO THE HISTORY OF COLLINGHAM AND ITS SURROUNDS AND TO DISSEMINATE THE USEFUL RESULTS OF SUCH RESEARCH FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT."

**Activities:** CDLHS presents at least 5 lectures a year on aspects of local and regional history to all members.  We host an annual summer excursion to places of local historic interest, and participate at local events.CDLHS manages the village historic archives housed in the Jubilee Room in Collingham. This is open to the public on a number of days each year and is open on request to facilitate research.
