I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above
charity ('the Trust.) for the year ended 3010612024.

I rèport in respect of my examination of the Trusfs accounts carried out

the Welsh Asian Women Achievement
Award
(WAWAA) is
charitable
organisation that aims to creat8 a n8twork of
women and girls of 6thnic minority origin
across Wales to provide beacons of
inspiration for current and upcoming
generations!
EMWWA4's aim is to empower and inspire
women and girls of ethnic minorities in
Wales through recognition of their
contributions. We aim lo identify role models
for the communities and facilitate community
cohesion
and
integration with the
mainstream systems.
On the evening of 17 May. the grand hall of ihe
historic Coll Exchydnge Hotel in Cardiff came
alivc with colour. music, and ¢elebrdtion as the
Ethnic Minority Welsh Women Achievement
As50¢iation (EMWWAA) hosted its biaTllLual
awards ceremony. The evenL now f￿lY
established as one of Wales's most inspiring
celebrations of women's achievemen
welcomed Ydround 400 guests, a true gatheTing
of peoplc from every rdce, background, and
walk of lifc, united in honouring extraordinary
womell and girls.
The atmosphere was electric fmm the start.
Guests were welcomed with warnith and
anlicipation, knowing the night would be one to
remember. Th¢ distinguishcd Baroness Debbie
Wilcox graced the 0¢￿10￿ as Chief Guest.

The celebrations continued with a burst of
global culture, a series of riveting
ititernationAI dance perfor￿AnceS that swcpt
the audience from one corner of the world to
another, showcasing tILe richness of diversity
that the EMWWAA embodies.
No celebration of excellence would be complete
without exceptional cuisine. Renowned chef
Stephen Gomes, a celebrated figLwe in Ix)th
national and international culitwy circlcs,
Curated an ¢xquisilc mcnu for th¢ cvclling. Each
dish was a testament to his artisty. adding
sensory feast lo an already unforgettable night.
The highlight of the evening was, of course, the
awards. Across Dine prestigious c*legories-
Sci¢ncc, TechDology & Healthcare.
Management & l£adership; Business" Arts.
Culture & Sports. Social & Humanilarian" Self-
Developmcllt; Youtlg Achiever" Violence
Against Women. and Lifetime Achievement-
the spotlight shone brightly on women and girls
who have brokeD barriers. uplifted
communities, and forged new paths. Fifty-flve
remarkable finalists were celebrdted, with
twenty deserving IvinDers taking home the
honours.
As each award was announced, the room filled
with applause, pride, and emotion. These were
not just trophies. they were symbols of
deteTMInatio￿ courage, and vision. From
trailblazers in science to Champions of human
rights, every winner carried a Story that could
inspire geThcrations.
The 2025 EMWWAA Awards were tllo￿ than
an event. they were a ￿we￿I reminder of
what can be achieved when talent mcets
opportunity and when diversity is not just
acknowledgcd but celebrdted. The night ended
with hearts full, spirits lifted, and a renewed
commilment to building a Wales where every
woman and girl, rcgardless of backgrounl call
rise aod thrive.
On the 22nd of June, the Festival of
Communities, organised by EMWWAA,
was celebrated with great enthusiasm in
Swans¢a. The event attracted apprnximat¢ly
500 attendees from across Wales, creating
a vibrant and diverse gathering of people
from various backgrounds.

The festival featured 22 international
perforniances, showcasing musi¢, danc¢,
and cultural traditions from around the
world. In addition to the captivating
perforniances, several healthcare stalls were
set up to promote awareness about
important health issue5, including diabetes,
cardiovascular diseases, cancer, and many
others.
Beyond the entertainrnent and educatio
the Festival of Communities served &s a
powerful platform to bring people
together. fostering understandin& unity,
and Ydppreeiation of different cultures. It
successfully highlighted the richness of
diversity in Wales and strengthened the
bonds between its many communiti&s. At
the end all attendees enjoyed
complimentary international cuisine.
