Following the invasion of Ukraine on 24th February 2022, much of Pr05pero World's energy throughout the year, was focused on supporting humanit3ri3n inierventions in support of victtms of the war, notably- inside Ukratne by our partners RAZOM and Klitschko Foundation. and outside Ukraine in support of those fleeing the conflict and resettling in Europe Ipretlominanily women Jnd childrenl, through our partner5 Phoenix Space, who established a special programme (Phoenix Reliefj in response to the crisis. Prospero World also established a designated Humanitarian Fund in support of Ukraine. spoke publicly abovt humanitarian inteNentions and organised a dinner in December 2022 to bring agents of humanitarian relief together. In addition to its work rn stspport of Ukraine. Prospero Worfd continued to strengthen its Charity Adoption Programme throughout the year. Phoenix Space who continue to provide STEM education. based around the inspirational theme of space science, to refugee and disadvantaged student5 in the Middle East to improve their life opportunities. Prospero Wodd tontiftued to run online fvndraising campaigns on behalf of its Adopted Charities. In total, Prospero World received donations of c. £650.000 in support of its Adopted Charities in 2022. Prospero World continued to manage its Donor Advised Fund. The prtmary Donor Advised Fund is a restricted fund, designated principally in support of educational programmes and faffltly support services. Durrng the accounting period grants of £330.314.50 were made to charitable projects working locally. nationally and internationally in the fields of education. Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SENDI and family support seNices. An additional £40,000 was festiicted fof distribution to 3 charities in the fields of education and SEND. In addition to its publi¢ education cèmpaigns. Pr05pero World hosted events in June 2022 in aid of Ek Tara. September 2022 in aid of the Veerni Project and December 2022 rn aid of Ukraine. In partnership with the Trustees of the Veerni Project. Prospero World also helped to facilitate the fundraising campaign of the 50 runneT5 who participated in the Venice Marathon Iokm in October 2022 in aid of the Veerni Project. Prospero World has been in continual contact with its chafitable partners to monitor their work and income streams, assess in what way Prospero World may help them, and undertake regular reviews to ensure the organisational wellbeing of Prospero World itself. Norwich, NR14 7DU. 1.1 A¢¢ounting convention The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the charity's governing document. the Companies Act 2006 and "Accounting and Reporting by Charities= Statement of Recommended Prartice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of [￿land {FRS 1021 leffective l January 20191" The charity is a Publit Benefit Entity as defined by FRS 102. The charity has taken advantage of the provisions in the SORP for Charit￿ applying FR5 102 Update Bulletin I not to prepare a Siatement of Cash Flows.
