**Objects:** THE PURPOSE OF THE CHARITABLE TRUST IS TO ADVANCE HEALTH FOR PUBLIC BENEFIT WITH AIM OF TREATING AND PREVENTING BLINDNESS CAUSED BY CATARACTS, GLAUCOMA AND GENETIC EYE DISEASES.THIS IS IN ALIGNMENT WITH THE WHO'S VISION 2020 INITIATIVE WHICH AIMS TO ERADICATE PREVENTABLE BLINDNESS WORLDWIDE BY THE YEAR 2020.THE CHARITY WILL PRIMARILY SERVE AN ECONOMICALLY DEPRIVED AREA OF JHARKHAND, A STATE IN INDIA.THIS WILL BE DONE THROUGH TREATMENT AND PREVENTION, EDUCATION AND RESEARCH.

**Activities:** The Trust coordinates medical (ophthalmological) 'camps' which co-locate doctors, optometrists, medical counsellors and a pharmacologist for 8 days to offer eye care to people in Jharkhand, India.The trust covers costs of care and treatment of economically deprived people who attend the eye camp. Payment is made for spectacles, medicines, and operations, and for transport for surgical procedures
