MINUTES OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
HELD AT CRESSAGE VILLAGE HALL WEDNESDAY 10[th] JULY 2024 @ 7.30pm

1. Minutes of previous AGM - These were read and proposed by Matthew Ellis and Seconded by Clare Walshaw. All agreed.
2. Chairman’s Report – Thank you all for attending. Thanks to Secretary and Treasurer
I would like to thank you all for joining us this evening. I would also like to thank Clare and Matt for their continued support and dedication to our Village hall over the last year.
After the closure of the hall for the repairs to the floor we finally reopened for business in April. Since then, we have held a series of fundraising events including an opening ceremony. Our monthly bingo event remains popular with the community. However, we have struggled with regular bookings due to our regular users having to find alternative venues during the closure and they have not returned.
Due to personal circumstances, I am no longer able to continue with my roles as Chair and letting secretary. Brian has agreed to take o the role of lettings secretary with immediate effect. Wish to express my gratitude to Brian for stepping into this role.
We are planning more events which seems popular for the community. Bingo and family bongo seems popular so we intend to organise some more events this coming year.
3. Financial Report – Presented by Matt Ellis
A financial statement was presented as at 31.12.23 which showed Bank account and cash in hand of £18326.21 including Fund raising account of £7500.00 proposed the accounts and Clare Walshaw seconded by Marie Instan and everyone agreed.
4. Letting Secretary’s Report – Presented by Marie
Christmas fair has returned and was a great success, raising £1,800. We plan to hold another fayre again this year.
Good news is the WI and gardening club have confirmed that they will continue to support and have retuned as regular users.

The meeting Closed at 8:00pm followed by a committee meeting. Next AGM Wednesday 9[th] July 2025.
