Between June 2024 and May 2025 AFC Fylde Community Foundation were able lo support over 7,500 peor4e
across the borough.
The Foundation had an extremety sut¢g$sful year in extending our services to the local community, which has
meant a higher Committed sp8nd, incrèased staffing numbers and tHore people supported. There has been a key
emphasis placed on both people d$velopment and th& qu81ity-of-$ervice provislon.

The renowned prolect entèred its sixih year, and was generously supported by BAE Ar Syst8rn8, The Veterans,
Foundation and Army Benevolènt Fund. The prolecl 56 proud lo support all from the Amied Forctss comnunity,
including vèterans, serving personnel, spouse8 and familias. From community cohesion events. one-to-one
mentoring. family hubs and much more, the Foundatlon team have proud to support Fylde's Armed Forces
community 8nd welcome the 1st Baitallon of the Duke of Lancast@r's Regiment to the area.
Our partnefshlp with Lanca5hSre Con8t8bulèry continued allo￿ng us to dellver Inlervenllon-based work. glm8d 8t
reducing re-offendlng and anti-social behaviour wrthin our community. Working as part of the Vlol8nc8 Reductbon

Tho purpose of our Detached Youth Provi$lon Is to engage wlth young people In thelr own •nvironments, provldlng
information, guldanc8, and support. Our team work In wllaboration with, and are supportefl by Lanc88hlre County
Council's Children and Family Wellbelng Servlce team, lo engage with young p8ople aged 12-19 in communlty
spaces like parks and streets, partlcularly largetlng an1￿80claI behaviour hotspots. The 8ervice provldes outreach
SLlPPOrt to vulnarable, dlsadvanlaged, or 81-ri8k indlvldual8, ulillzlng moblle vehldes a& 8af8 spg¢eJ.

ch8rg8 progralnme providing att8nd008 with an unforgettable experience durlng every malchday throughout th8

all members of the public with several 'Open Sessions, throughout 2024125, bul also whh $6versl catsfully selected
cohorts, SLJch 8S OV8r-558, Fylde Adult Disabillly Day SeNice and supporters, group3. The programme, which wa8
funded by the National Leaguo Trust, ansure8 that all members of the Fylda ¢ommunlty can access freè physicgl
activity sessions. tailored lo their needs, whilsl becomlng part ol a wider social group. Each participant recoived
8lther one-to-one andlor group mentorlng 8UPPOrt lo ttelp achieve Ihelr goals.
Thanks lo the support of Fylde Borough Counc51, the Foundallon were able lo successfully dellver two sites of the
'Kicks' programme. 'Kicks' use8 the powèr of sport and the brand of toolb811 to enoage with children and young
people, in 80me of the most high-need areas of Fylde.
Loneliness Pr
In Its Ihlrd yoar, the LPP reached record amounts of b&neficiaries, lo en8ure that the Fylde's over-658 community
Wore c8tered for and supported throughout 2024r25. The LPP project was split oGross Ihree key areas,. one-lo-one
befriending support, 'Companions' indoor peer support group sessions, and 'Extr8 Time, peer support group
sessions that involved w8lk-and-18lk in their delivery. The FoLsndalion could not have delivered such a needed and
impacttul projecl without the ongoing support of The National Lottery's Roaching Communities Fund, and wth
additional support from The Card Factory Foundation.
The Foundation workad in partnership with Fylde and Wyre Councils to design them a digital onboarding
volunteering suppart programme. which allowed new volunteers lo support the Local Authorities befrlondlng
services. The succ8ss of the programme continues lo be evld8ncod b8yond 2024r25.

Employability, Education and Skllls
During 2024125 the Foundation wothed alongside Fylde based businesses lo place Fy￿e residents into
apprenliceshlps. Thls was made possible by the SLfPPOrt of Fylde Borough Council.
Fylde F￿S supports people living in the Borough of Fykle who are Not In Education. Employment or Training
(NEET) lo find p051tive outcomes. There were two soparate serwces. one supporting 1&18 year olds and the other
19+ The Fourvjation worked alongside local partners lo recruit parti¢iP8nts, provide mentoring support and find
them sullable routes into employment, education or training. Funding was provided by Fylde Bor(wgh Council
through the Govemmenl's UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
The wotk readiness programme 'Training Ground, was launched during the 2024125 year. to great su￿SS arKI
positive impact In the communlty. TF7e four-day faee¥lo-fa¢e programme supported variou5 cohorts throughout the
year to rtrach an accredited AQA qualification bLrt also 811<)w them to lake one *ep closer lo the labour market.
Supporting learners in areas such as CV writing, financial lileraw and budgets"ng, Al or wellb&ing tactics are all part
of the Fylde Borough Council backed Training Ground, programrne.
Sports Development
The Foundation worked a￿088 variou8 areas of sports development in 2024125. We were extremely proud to work
in partnership with local school$ to deliver speclallsl sport provision. The Foundatyon team support schools wrth a
range of services including curriculum-based delivery, mentoring and sports fixtures. Additionally, the Foundation
continued in ensijring a Glear pathway for indusion by W0￿.n9 dosely with a number of nurseries and early years
sèltings_
Beyond school provision. the Foundation delivered record numbers in the Football Development Centres during
2024125. The Centres are opportunities for local chlldren to develop their football skills, complimenting their school
or grassrools commrtmenls.
Holiday actlvity dubs We￿ extremely popular in 2024125, with the opportunity to attènd either a football or mu5ti-
sports setting, Hundreds of famili8S w@r8 suptx)rted with affordable school holiday activ￿lIeS that they can legve their
children al in confidence. Our holiday actTriity clubs also give the Foundation a great opportunty to conb.nue the fir8t-
class relalonshbp wth Fylde Borough Council in being one of the borough's biggest Holiday Activities and Food
{HAFI programme providers. HAF is fvnded by the Department for Educ81ion, giving children in England who are
eligible for freè school meals the opportunity to tske part in fun, enriching, school ￿)lidaY actÉvib"es_

The Trustees have considered the Charity'8 policy in resp8Ct of reserves. Th8 Trustaes h8ve set 8 tsrget of retsining

Charity in the event of unforeseen reductlons in 8vail8ble funding which may arise from lime-to-lime. Based on the

lo work towards this.

New trustses are recruited and appointed by th8 existing trusteès as r8quir8d_ Th&y are sel8cl8d for their
respective knowledge, 8biliti&s and inter8sts in the object¥ of the Foundation. Due to the nature of the work
undertaken by the Foundation it is relev8nt and appropriate to appoint trustees from a range of backgrounds.
None ofthe trustees has any beneficial interest in the company. All of the trustees are mombers of the company and
guoranlee to ¢ontribuie £1 in the event of a winding up.
There shall be a minimum of 3 trustees but there shall be no maximum numbor. Th8 truste8s must hobl al least 2
meetsngs per year al ￿leh the qUc￿M is al loasl 2 or one third of the trustees in office, wh1¢￿Ver is greatw.
New trustees will be introduced to the aims and objectives of the Charity by existi￿ trustee8 and will be guided in
the rights and duties of a trustee by reference to such training material and inforrnation is availat4e from, in

The day to day management of the Charity is undertaken by the Foundats'on Director and the Assistsnl Foundation
Director who are supported by the senior management team. This is overseen by the Board of Trustees, which 18

The financial slalements have b88n prep8red in accord?nce with the tharity's govemlrE document, the
Companies Act 2006 and "Accour)ling and Reporting by Charities.. Statamenl of Recommended Practi
applieAblè to charities preparing their accounts in accordance wth the Finanaal Reporting Stsndard
applicable in the UK anrt Republlc of Irelond (FRS 1021 (effective 1 January 2019).. The charity Is a Public
Bènefit Entity as defined by FPS 102.
The financial slatements are prepared in sterting, which Ss the functi￿￿1 currency of the charity. Monetary
amounts in these financial statements are round8d to th8 nearest £_
The finanGial slalernenls have been prèp*Tod under the hlstorical cost convention. The principal acwunling
policies adopted are set out bèlow.
1.2 Golng concem
At the tim& of 8pprovlng thè financial statements. the trustees have a reasonable exFéCtation that the charbty
has adequate resources to continue in operational e￿Stence for the foreseeable future. Thus the trLElees
continue to adopt the going concem basis of a￿UntIng in propari[￿ the fillanGial statemellts.
1.3 Charttable funds
Unrestricted funds L%n be used in accordance with the charitable objectives at th8 discr8tion of the tnJste8s.
ResttiGled funds can only be used for parbcular restricted purposes wlhin the objects of the charity.
Restrictions arise when specified by the donor or when funds are raised for parbcular restriGted purposes.
1.4 Income
All incoma is r8cognis$d in the Statement of Financial Artivitie$ once the charity has en￿tlement to the fvnds,
it is probable that the income wll be received and Ihe amount Can be measured reliably.
1.6 Expendlture
Liabilities aro recognised as expenditure as soon as th&r8 is a legal or constructive obligation committlng thè
charity lo that expenditure, it Is probable that a transler of economic benefits will bè required in sèttlement and
the amount of the obligation can be measured reliably. Expenditure is accounted for on an accruals basis and
has been classrfied under hegdings that aggregate all eo81 related to the catègory. Where costs cannot be
direcuy attributed to particular headings they have been allocated to actiwties on a basis consistent with the
use of resources.

Tangible fixed assets are inilialty measured at cost al￿ subsequendy measurad at cost or valuation, net of
depreciation and any impairment losses.
