The Trustees who served during the year are listed on page 2. The appointmeni of Trustees is governed by the Constitution ofthe charity. The preservation, improvement, development, construction and repair of the Minster Church of St. CuthburBa at Wimborne Minster in Dorset and its precincts and any associated buildings Itogether called the Minster bvildingsl, and the fixtures and fittings. equipmenL ornaments and chattds linduding the Chained Ubraryl of the Minster buildings. The advancement of the education ot the public in the history of the Minster Church and the preservation of its history, includin8 historical records. The pursuit ofsueh charitable objettive5. With particular regard to the residents ofwimborne Minster, as the Charlty trustees shall decide will benefrt the Minster buildings and l or the mission of the Minster Chvrch. In carrying out this revlew the trustees have considered the Charity Commission's general guidance on public benefit and are satisfied that the charity has fulfilled its requirements in th￿ respert. ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE CharFtablÈ activities 2023 proved to be a year when everything began to return to normal and the Frtends were able to hold their usual events once more. Thè Valentine's Coffee Moming raised £102 which was a little disappointin& but tt proved to be an enjoyable event. John Hughes our PR Trustee arranged a trip to RoFll5ey which was quite popular, but clashed with another event so we made a 5mall1055, but it was a very enjoyable and sunny day and we were well looke(l after by the staff at the Abbev. John also arranged a vislt. using tars to Edmonsham House and a 8arden visit both of which proved popular. The preacher for the AGM Evensong was the Venerable Anthony Macrow- Wood with our Curate Revd Nick Wells officiatin8 at thè service which was followeil by the traditFon41 Crearn Tea. Members of the Events Team provided tea for the annual vi5tt of iaudemus in AuBUSt as well as refreshments for the Cuthburga Letture. 'The Bankes at the Minstert given this year by Andrew Williams. In eady September members enjoyed the annual Coffee Morning at Dean's Covrt with Sir William in attendance.

Abbeys and Major Churches at Hereford. It wa5 an interestin8 event with talks bv: The Canon Chan¢ellor. Revd James Pw, who spoke on"Astounded at the greatness of God." He indicated that we should a pla￿ of story. A chance to tell visltors abo￿ Chrisys story as part of our own story. a place of regular unbroken worship wtrh liturgical seasons and of exceptional quality. The Cathedrals & Greater Churche5 can be the ￿est End" of churche5 and can explore new patterns to complirnent, but not supplant worship rooted in the liturgy. Centres of rich and excellent teaching. But Cath needs to prowde re50urce5 to the pari5he5. giving an unconditional welcome. Need to welcome all groups. We can also be a place of "anonyrnitf- A "come and 5ee- place to everyone- this is your space. C•non Barry Forrester who spoke about the New Cathedrals, Measure and Quentln Letts who gave a personal and amusing view of the Church of England today. The final event of the year was the November Tea Party which again was very popular with some muslc entertainment provided by De Ashton (Trusteel. Dinah IngltrFinch and the Secretsry. The Minstees Famtly and Outreach worker, Claire Lehmann organi5ed a Christmas Craft Fayre and the Friends had a stall which raised £164. FINANCIAL REVJEW In 2023 the Friends Received a iotsl £116.650 from 4 legacie5 with one bein8 substhntiai for which we are imrnens¢ty grateful. Most of the charity's income is from legacies and we very match aNJre£Èat¢ these donation5 lo our fund& Fund raising produce5 a modest amount on a regular basis from lectures and teas. Membetship fees have continued to be collerted and with co￿fUl management of our investments we find ourselves still in a position to make grants. Overall, we are still in a healthy position and havè no doubts about continuing to operate according to our constitutional requirements.
