## **Minutes of the Annual Meeting of Parishioners in Church and on Zoom** 

## **Wednesday 27[th] April 2022 at 7:45pm** 

The APCM was held as a hybrid meeting – attendees were in church and on Zoom. 

Andy March welcomed everyone to the meeting, Carolyne Powell and Emma Bowman-Powell were thanked for leading prayer and worship. 

Appoint Clerk to the meeting 

- Lucy Lambert was appointed as clerk to the meeting and thanked for her service as PCC Secretary. 

## Approval of minutes 

- Last year’s minutes were proposed by Tina Veasey, seconded by Emma Bowman-Powell and approved as a true record of the meeting. 

## Election of church wardens 

- Stuart Hart was thanked for his service as Church Warden, we are really grateful for all of his hard work. 

- Andy March highlighted Stuart’s recent work on the church layout and cabling, Emma and James Bowman-Powell were also thanked for their support with this project. 

- Tom Borras was thanked for his support ‘behind the scenes’ as well. 

- Stuart Hart was elected as Church Warden. 

## Vicar’s report 

- Andy March shared the vicar’s report, which was circulated with the agenda and is available online. 

- In addition to those named in the Vicar’s report, Andy March thanked Pauline Blunt, Louise Hicks, Lucy Lambert, Rosemary Lavens, Laura Greenway, Chris Dunkley and Sylvia Cliff for their support. 

The meeting ended at 8:10pm. 

## **Minutes of the Annual Parochial Church Meeting Wednesday 27[th] April 2022** 

## Attendees 

- 13 people attended the meeting in church and 5 attended on Zoom. 



## Approval of minutes 

- Last year’s minutes were proposed by Tina Veasey, seconded by Pauline Blunt and accepted as a true record of the meeting. 

- The annual reports have been emailed and are available on the Church website, please contact Lucy Lambert if you are unable to access. 

## Approval of accounts for 2021 

- Graham Foxwell shared a video update on the church accounts for 2021. 

- Please let Lucy Lambert know if you have any questions about the accounts, and Graham will respond. 

- Everyone is encouraged to switch to the parish giving scheme – please ask Tina Veasey for more details. 

- Acceptance of the accounts was proposed by Sylvia Cliff, seconded by Nat Patterson and agreed by all. 

- Graham Foxwell was thanked for his hard work on the accounts. 

- Stan Aldridge shared a video update on giving. 

- Thank you to all for your generosity, please think about increasing regular giving this year if this is possible. We are looking to raise an additional £5k. Please contact Tina Veasey for information about ways to give. 

- Stan Aldridge was thanked for his support with giving. 

## Election of PCC members 

- Members of the PCC stand as follows: Andy March, Carolyne Powell, Lucy Lambert, Heather Beasley, Graham Foxwell, Stuart Hart, Louise Hicks, Stan Aldridge, Irene Foxwell, Barbara Bell, Tina Veasey, Emma Bowman-Powell, James Bowman-Powell, Marie Ellis, Rosemary Lavens, Katy Coupe, Thomas Hanesworth. 

- Thomas Hanesworth was previously the youth representative on PCC and has now joined as a full member. 

- Pauline Blunt is stepping down from the PCC after 15 years of service. Pauline was thanked for everything she has done to support the church, we are incredibly grateful. 

## Appointment of independent examiner 

- APS Accountants examined the 2021 accounts, they said they would charge £100 for this but in the end didn’t charge anything. They were thanked for their generosity. 

- Stuart Hart proposed to use APS Accountants for the 2022 accounts, this was seconded by Louise Hicks and agreed by all. 

## Electoral roll 

- Barbara Bell was thanked for her work on the electoral roll. 

- There are 76 people on the church electoral roll for this year. 

## Questions and discussions 

- Andy March and Carolyne Powell were thanked for all of their support over the last year. 

- Carolyne Powell closed the meeting in prayer.

We have checked the accounts for the year 31* Decemtsr 2021
We carried out checked in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity
Commission. Checks indudes a review of the accounting re(x)rd$ kept by the charity and a
