You **may choose** to include The charity has created 3 branches in order to enable Oromo women have additional information, where access to OWA UK membership and benefit from it relevant, about:  policies and procedures The branches are created in London, West Midlands and adopted for the induction and Bolton/Manchester training of trustees; The branches will have three committees and will be able to call a meeting, invite a speaker, fundraise and open separate bank account  the charity’s organisational when needed structure and any wider network with which the charity OWA UK celebrates International women’s Day annually works; OWA UK has organised three peaceful protests to support Oromo Women  relationship with any related in Oromia, Ethiopia parties;  trustees’ consideration of major risks and the system and procedures to manage them.

- 1) We strengthened Oromo Women Association Affiliated branch office in Bolton to reach out Oromo women in Manchester and West Midlands 

**Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)** 

- 2) Took part in UK Parliament week in Nov. 2017 organised cultural show; had a guest speaker over Skype Human Right watch about Oromo women’s human right violations. Displayed educational posters and role played to entertain our guests/audience. 

- 3) Celebrated International Women’s Day and educated Oromo women about the purpose of this celebration. Briefed women that Oromo women had protected their rights with institution called ‘Siqqee’ and the respect for women which was ratified in the Gadaa System in 15th and 16th century and how we lost the system when we were colonised by Ethiopian Empire 

- 4) Undertook AGM meeting and replaced two core committee members 

- 5) Organised social and fun day that brought all the family together and 

- 6) Visited two member’s families whose husband are critically ill

Raised awareness of FGM and Domestic violence. 

Took part in joint peaceful protest to address the plight of women in Oromia (Ethiopia) affected by conflict. 

Strengthening branch of OWA UK in London, Bolton, and West Midlands - delegated responsibilities for trustees to run local responsibilities and fundraise. 

Encouraging support of trustees during illnesses and sad periods 

Organized cultural events to introduce our younger generation who are born in the UK. 

Supported migrants and members who experienced domestic violence. 

Undertaken three peaceful protests against the brutal government of Ethiopia. Celebrated International Women’s Day Financially supported Oromo women who are displaced from their land through the Oromo Relief Association. 

Provided supporting letter to Oromo women who seek refuge in the UK. Gave witness statements to Oromo women in Court to evidence the member is seeking genuine asylum.
