FOREWORD
which we have continued to rebuild and rethink our position within the UK chamber music scene. This has taken place amid a cost-of-living crisis that has affected audience numbers and, in turn, concert promoters. The climate for producing chamber music events remains particularly challenging, with recent arts funding cuts impacting many of the festivals and promoters we work alongside.
We are deeply grateful to all those who have helped us plan for the future wherever possible, and to the individuals and organisations who have explored potential projects with us, even those that have not yet come to fruition.

CHARITABLE OBJECTIVES
Perpetuo’s charitable objectives are:
To promote, improve, develop and maintain public education in and appreciation of the art of chamber music in all its aspects by the presentation of public concerts and recitals, workshops and development programmes and such other means as the trustees determine in order to make the music more accessible.
BENEFIT TO THE PUBLIC
Perpetuo seeks to perform to audiences and at places that are not necessarily identified with music as well as linking music to the other art forms such as dance, sculpture, painting and photography. In addition, the Ensemble organises workshops and other educational events to benefit those who are unable to learn about and enjoy music including the young, the elderly and those with disabilities.
OUR VISION
Perpetuo makes chamber music accessible, appealing and relevant. OUR MISSION
Perpetuo revitalises existing repertoire and commissions new chamber works to create innovative and adventurous programmes that engage with audiences.
This is how we achieve our mission:
-
Use collaborations and multiple disciplinary partners to deliver a new kind of immersive cultural experience
-
Through bringing chamber music to unexpected and unusual venues, Ensemble Perpetuo integrates music within local communities.
-
We promote equality within music and break down the social and financial boundaries that prevent people from benefitting from live music.

RESERVES
During the period of our ninth annual return we maintained our reserves at the level they were previously but were unable to add to them. We continue to explore different ways in which to gain greater stability through individual donations so that we are well placed to take on more performance projects within our charitable remit.
