French bulldog Saviours founded October 2013. Our volunleers. We operate across the entire UK with a core team of over 5 main volunteers and a social media community of more than 100,000+ supporters. All dog-related records. along with information on prospective adopters. home checkers. road trainers, vets, and other volunteers. are securely stored within our Anilog management system. Access to sensitive infomiation is strictly controlled Only authorised team members hold full system access, and every individual involved has signed a Data Protection and Confidentiality Agreement. This ensures that all personal and animal records are handled responsibly. securely. and in line with UK data protection requirements. Working together. French bulldog Saviours works closely with a number of breed-specific and national rescue organisations, including Blue Cross, Battersea. and PDSA. We also collaborate with veterinary practices when dogs have been abandoned or surrendered, ensuring they re￿1ve immediate care and assessment. In addition, we maintain strong working relationships with local Govemment Kennels across the UK to support dogs in need and facilitate safe, responsible rehoming. New policy within the rescue. French bulldog Saviours has intrOdU￿d a new policy to ensure the safety, welfare, and responsible management of all dogs entering the rescue. Over time. the rescue began to experien￿ an increase in dogs being surrendered with severe behavioural issues. In some cases. surrendering was used as an 'easy way out" for owners who had not sought appropriate behavioural support. This placed the rescue, its volunteers and the wider public at risk. One incident resulted in sKJnificant social media abuse directed at the rescue and private individuals. after a surrendered dog bit multiple people and was subsequently put to sleep. This level of harm both physical and reputational made it clear that a stricter intake process was essential. To protect dogs, volunteers, adopters, and the public, all dogs entering French bulldog Saviours must now undergo a full health and behaviour assessment. This requirement is also stated on our Welfare Release Form. If a dog displays contsming behavioural issues durrng transport, assessment, or while in foster care. the dog will be returned to the owner. This ensures that dogs with unmanaged or high-risk behaviours are not placed into volunteer homes or rehoming pathways that are unsafe or unsuitable. This policy supports responsible rescue practi￿. safeguards our volunteers. and ensures that dogs entering our care can be safely rehabilitated and ￿hOmed. Education French bulldog Saviours is committed to improving public understanding of the French bulldog breed and the health challenges commonly associated with it We actively use our social media platforms to raise awareness. share accurate information, and promote responsible ownership. In addition to our online outreach, we regularfy host educational events dedicated to informing the public about the breed's welfare needs. common medical conditions, ethical breeding practices, and the realities of rescue work. These events help ensure that current and prospective owners are equipped with the knowledge required to care for French bulldogs safely, responsibly. and compassionately. The process. All dogs entering French bulldog Saviours re￿1ve comprehensive care to ensure their health. safety. and wellbeing from the moment they arrive. Every dog is neutered (Whe￿ medically appropriate), microchipped, vaccinated, and given flea and worm treatment. Within 48 hours ofarrival, each dog is seen by a veterinary professional for full health check, including weight recording and assessment of any existing medical conditions. All identified health issues are addressed promptly and documented. Following veterinary assessment, dogs are placed into foster homes that best suit their individual needs. All foster-related expenses are fully covered by French bulldog Saviours Our volunteers provide round-the-clock support to foster families, ensuring both the dog and the foster parent have guidance and assistance whenever needed. on￿ medical treatment is complete and full behavioural and welfare assessments have been carried out, dogs are listed for adoption on our social media platforms, Instagram, and our website (www.frenchbulldo saviours.com). All potential adopters undergo a thorough home check. and referen￿S are taken to ensure suitability. We continue to support adopters for the entire lifetime of the dog. offering advio, guidan￿. and assistance whenever required. French bulldog Saviours also operates a Forever Foster category for dogs with life-threatening or chronic health conditions. These dogs remain under our care for the rest of their lives, living with dedicated foster families while we cover all medical costs and ongoing support. Rehoming fee.
