## **– Whitchurch Sports Junior Football Club Charity Number 1163791 Report of the trustees for the year ending June 30[th] 2022** 

The trustees of the Whitchurch Sports Junior Football Club present their annual report and audited accounts for the year ended 30[th] June 2022 and confirm they comply with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011, the club constitution and the Charities SORP (FRS 102). 

## **Our Aims** 

The club operates under a Club Constitution & Rules approved by the Charity Commission on the 30[th] September 2015. 

## **The Objectives of the club are;** 

(a) to advance the amateur sport of association football. 

(b} to promote community participation in healthy recreation by providing facilities for playing association football (facilities means land, buildings, equipment and organising football activities). 

(c) to provide and assist in providing facilities for sport, recreation and other leisure time occupation of people who have need of such facilities because of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, poverty or 

social and economic circumstances or for the public at large in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving their conditions of life. 

(d} to advance the education of children and young people whether or not undergoing formal education. 

## **Review of Activities and Achievements** 

## **Finances** 

The clubs net cash flow was £17169.30, The year worked well and we made profit, this was mainly down to good income from signing on and match day donations, but a positive result from the summer tournament also helped increase the income. Income was good, but we also kept down expenditure on equipment and kit, although next year we will have to replace parts to goal nets and safety equipment.as this will be wearing and pose a threat. we also celebrated our 45[th] year with an event at the Bristol City football ground, this although costly helped to cement club/parent relationship and build a tighter bond. We also had to purchase a new container to help ease congestion in our others, this was a higher than normal expense due to the rising cost of raw materials. We also gave a small donation to charity 

## **Club membership** 

Club membership was stable at 26 teams, with players coming and going this was stable as well, managers and coaches was also similar. 

## **Achievements & Support** 

The club won 2 county cup finals and 3 of our teams were promoted into higher divisions. 

## **Events** 

The summer tournament and club presentation day. 

## **Future Plans** 

The club intends to continue its current strategies in maintaining its position and reputation within the Bristol community as one of the top 3 clubs with reputation, The club will also seek to continue to strengthen its relationship with the Imperial sports ground following a management change to mitigate the risk of its services not being provided in both actual assets and favourable commercial terms.

I report on the accounts of the Trust for the year ended 30 June 2016.
Respectlve responsibilities of trustees and examiner
The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charitWs trustees
consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144121 of the Charities Act 2011 (the
2011 Act) and that an independent examination is needed.

• examine the occounts under section 145 of the 2011 Act
to follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the commission under
section 14515llbl of the 2011 Act
to state whether particular matters have come to my attention
Basis of independent examinerfs report
My examination was carried out in accordance with the general Directions given by the Charity
Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and
comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes ton5ideration of any
unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as trustees
concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would
be reqLJired in an audit and consequently no opinion is 8iven as to whether the accounts present 8
'true and fair view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the next statement.

In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention:

to keep accounting records in accordance with section 130 of the 2011 Act and to prepare
accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with the accounting
requirements of the 2011 Act
