Urgent Medicare International’s Board of Trustees (the trustees) presents the Trustees’ Annual Report for the period ending 16

Urgent Medicare International’s charitable objectives are:

  1. THE RELIEF OF SICKNESS AND PRESERVATION OF HEALTH AMONG PEOPLE RESIDING PERMANENTLY OR TEMPORARILY IN SUB SAHARA AFRICA

  2. TREATMENT AND CARE OF PERSONS SUFFERING FROM MENTAL AND PHYSICAL ILLNESSES OF ANY DESCRIPTION

  3. EDUCATION OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC IN ALL AREAS RELATING TO HIV (AIDS) AND GENERAL EMERGENCY HEALTHCARE

Trustee Chairman’s Introduction

It is another great privilege to continue to work on this humanitarian project that is designed to alleviate the health challenges and sufferings of the less privileged within the areas and communities that we work. Over the past few years, we have been working assiduously to take every necessary step that will help restructure Urgent Medicare International into such a form that will guarantee the capacity to effectively achieve our organisational goals.

Charitable Objectives

We have witnessed slow progress in the affairs of the organization over the past few years as we were drawn aback by legal, administrative and bureaucratic bottlenecks emanating from incountry registrations and authorisations that we require to operate in the countries and communities that we have set out to work in. In our resolve to draw the best suited individuals to the trusteeship of the organisation, we have further witnessed four resignations and four appointments since the formation in 2015 and are currently finalising the appointment of a Chief Executive Officer who will assume full responsibility of driving the affairs of the organization. We have further doubled efforts in the

recruitment of volunteers and logistics for our operations in three of our designate locations. However, our schedule to resume operations and impact lives in Sao Tome, Nigeria and Cameroon within the first quarter of 2021 has been greatly hampered by disruptions caused partly by the corona virus pandemic, but primarily, by the increasing levels of insecurity in the Sub Sahara nations of Nigeria and Cameroon where we had planned to resume activities around the southernmost regions of these countries.

nevertheless, we are still optimistic that we will work very closely to the original schedule to ensure that activities are resumed as soon as our team of volunteers are fully constituted and adequately trained, more so, as now warranted due to risks posed by the covid-19 pandemic.

Mission

To devote the time and energy necessary to aid, support and educate the communities. Review of Achievement and Performance for 12-month period ending 16 June 2021. During the twelve-month period in question, our trustees were only able to meet once over zoom due to the covid lockdown and effects of the pandemic in the UK and the regions we operate. At the meeting, we reviewed the progress, as well as the impact of the pandemic on our work. The meeting deliberated on the most effective way forward to progress our charitable objectives under

the current climate. Considerations were also given to short term activities that will revolve around tackling the pandemic and providing support to those affected, especially the most vulnerable both in the UK, and in all the regions that we are able to operate. Financial Review and Results for the 12 months Period Ending 16 June 2021 During the period in question, the CIO recorded no income or expenditure, assets, or liabilities. Therefore, this is a nil return.
