|Summary of the purposes of<br>the charity as set out in its<br>governing document|Para 1.17|Our purpose is to informally educate and support<br>the young people in the Whitley Bay area of<br>North Tyneside through both structured and<br>leisure time activities. This is achieved through<br>the provision of space and opportunity to<br>develop personal and social skills through<br>recreational, educational and social activities.<br>The aim is to foster positive behaviours and a<br>high level of confidence in the local young<br>people. Support all areas of the community and<br>foster inclusion within all areas of the local<br>community,<br>also<br>to<br>provide<br>access<br>to<br>information, guidance and support where<br>needed|
|Summary of the main<br>activities in relation to those<br>purposes for the public<br>benefit, in particular, the<br>activities, projects or<br>services identified in the<br>accounts.|Para 1.17 and<br>1.19|**SPARCS -**The aim of SPARCS is to support<br>families living with autism and other related<br>conditions in the North East of England. They<br>provide a grass root local community support<br>group from the centre which is run by a<br>dedicated committee of volunteers. The goal is<br>to  build confidence, develop skills and promote<br>social activities and inclusion in our local<br>communities.<br>**Dance & exercise classes**This provision was<br>started to encourage “enjoyable” exercise to<br>fight obesity and fostering positive mental<br>attitude for all age groups.<br>**Multiple Sclerosis Club**– Support group for all<br>users and carers with guest speakers.<br>**Gymnastics**- Whitley Bay Gymnastics club is<br>the longest running club in North Tyneside, with<br>460 Children attending every week, from pre~<br>school / Disability / to Teenagers which all lead<br>into our feeder classes. Working on self-<br>Confidence, respect, effort and fun, Children are<br>exposed to a positive atmosphere with proactive<br>coaching enabling Children’s physical emotional<br>and social development<br>**Tai Chi**– attended by all age groups aimed at<br>the elderly promoting low impact exercise|

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31/03/2021. 

- **Responsibilities and** As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation **basis of report** of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). 

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
