statements for the year ended 31st March 2023

Organisation ICIOI in the UK and governed by a con5titution.The CIO was registered
on 22nd September 2015.
Membership. Is open to interested individuals accepted into membership by the
trustees.following completion of a prescribed membership form.
Trustees.The CIO work is directed by a board of trustee5.who approve the policy for
the organistion.The board is composed of the following trustees who served

Objects of the CIO.The objerts are:_
To help the poor and needy in Pakistan.England & Wales:
To provide healthcare generally but specifically in providing kidney dialysi5,liver
disease.and their allied ailments.and
To undertake any help to elevate the 50tial,education.food and housing of the poor
and needy in Pakistan,England & Wales.
PUBLIC BENEFIT STATEMENT
In planning we have considered guidance from the Charity Commission to ensure
we meet our public benefit requirements.
RESULTS FOR THE YEAR
The results for the year are set out on the finance pages following this report.
RESERVES POLICY
The trustees have considered the policy and have agreed that sufficient funds
are to be retained in case of emergency for the continuance of the project in
Pakistan.The policy will be reviewed during the financial year.
RISK
The trustees confirm that controls are in place designed to mitigate the major risks
to which the CIO 15 faced.Raising sufficient funds is a major challenge and one for
which the trustees are driving forward.
DIAYLSIS CENTERS
The first Dialysis Center supported by Medical AidlUKI was established at the City
Hospital.Gilgit.Pakistan on 13th Ortober 2018.Dialysis machines and equipment wa5
donated to the hospital.A management committee was established locally to oversee
the daily operation of this center.During the year 5 state of the art brand new Freseniu5
diaylsis machines were donated to a well established Kidney Hospital in the city of
Gujranwala in the Punjab province.
FUTURE PROJECTS
The trustees have been exploring possible remote areas of Pakistan to establish
dialysis centers in government run hospitals.
We have been approached by the management of Government Hospital at Skardu
Gilgit Baltistan to establish a new dialysis treatment centre.This project is well advanced
and during the current year 4 brand new State of the art diaylsis machines with
supporting RO plant will be installed in this remort area of Northern Pakistan.
In addition we are exploring locations in South Punjab to establish dialysis centres
where they are needed to treat poor and needy free of cost.The trustees are confident
that such a treatment centre will be established this year.

TRUSTEES, RESPONSIBILITIES IN RELATION TO FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
The trustees are responible for preparing the Annual Report and the financial
statements in accordance with applicable law and regulations.Charity law requires
the trustee5 to prepare financial statements for each financial year.Under the law
the trustees have elected to prepare the financial statements in accordance with United
Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practicelunited Kingdom Accounting Standards
and applicable lawlThe financial statements are required by law to give a true and fair
view of the state of affairs of the charity and it's net receipts and expendituie for the year.
In preparing these financial statements the trustees are required to..
l. Select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consi5tentlv;
2. Make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent,.
3. Prepare the financial statements on the going concern bas15 unless it is
inappropriate to presume that the charity will continue in business.
The trustees are responsible for keeping adequate accounting records that disclose with
reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity and enable them
to ensure that the financial statements comply with SORP 2005.They are also responsible
for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the
prevention and deduction of fraud and other irregularities.

I report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 31st March 2023,which are set out
on pages 6-10

The Chartty's trustees are responsible lor the preporation of the accounts.The charity trustees
consider that an audit is not required for thi5 year under 5ertion 144121 of the Charitie5 Act 2011
and that an independent examination is needed.
It is my responsibility to=

Basis of Independent Examiner's rewrt
My examination was carried out in accordance with the general directions given by the Charity
Commission.An examination includes 3 review ol the accounting records kept by the charity and
a comparison of the accounts presented with those records.lt also includes consideration of anv
unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from you a5 trustees
concerning any such matter5.The pr(xedure5 urhdèrtaken do not provide all thÈ Èvidence that
would be required in an audii and consequently ￿ opinion is given as to whether the accounts
present a true and fair wew and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below..

The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention.

Income from charitable activities include donations received by the charity for the
purpose it is set up for.

Funds held by the charity are either-
Unrestricted general funds.These are funds which can be used in
accordance with the charitable objects at the discretion of the trustees.
* Restricted funds.These are funds that can only be used for restricted
purposes within the objects of the charity.Restrictions arise when
specified by the donor.The Charity has received funds as Zakat and the
trustees are obliged to disperse this amount under the Islamic
jurisprudence.

CHARITABLE ACTIVITIES-DONATIONS
During the year 5 brandnew Freser)ius dialysis machines costing £36,550
were donated to a government hospital at Gujranawala in Punjab.Paki5tan.
A donation of£lO.000 was made to Al-Khidmat Foundation regarding flood and
winter relief in Pakistan.
