Annual Return – Commentary I am relying on the exemption for charities with ‘income under £10,000’, to only report the charity’s income and spending. However – for information only – I can confirm that the activities of the charity have not changed at all during the last period and remain the raising of funds – by students and staff from within the College – which are then sent as a contribution to the salaries of 2 teachers based in Madungu Primary School in Western Kenya. This past 18 month period – as compared to the previous 12 month period – the charity increased the amount of funds raised from £1,997 to £3,638 which, in turn, allowed us to increase the contribution that we made to the 2 teachers salaries. The bank balance at the end of each period increased slightly from £214 to £281. Going forward into the new year the Board is looking to both bring some new additional Trustees and to set up a separate Fund Raising Committee to continue with the good progress that we have made in the past period.
