Charity number: 1163460

Charity name: ANATHAPINDIKA TRUST

Trustees' Annual Report and accounts May 2022 – Apr 2023

During this financial year the Trust continued to receive donations on behalf of the Triratna Buddhist Community in Venezuela including donations specifically to help Achalamati (Ricardo Rico) who dedicates his time to helping the Buddhist Centre but whose pension has become valueless due to the hyperinflation in Venezuela.

The only sources of income for the trust were donations. This financial year we did not apply for gift aid which was an oversight.

Other than the regular payments to Achalamati, the Trust made one payment towards the running costs of the Merida Buddhist Centre, to help with the refurbishment of the centre.

Our Chairman Michael Shaw is now based at the Guhyaloka retreat centre in Spain, but visited Merida to review the activities of the Buddhist centre.

The charity has no other activities at present.
