oBJE￿IVEs AND AcfIvITIES
Objectives and alms
The object of Clarbeston Road Association Football Club CIO Is the prornotion of community participation
In healthy ￿creatIOn, in particular by the provlslon of fadlitles for the playlng of assoclatlon football.
Slgnlficant actlvltles
The prlmary activities of the charity throughout the year have been to continue to provide the
opportunity for members of the community to participate in football, as players, spectators and as
volunteers.
Partlcipatlon levels have Increased slighdy wlth approxlmately 360 player members throughout the year
spread across 2S teams, supported by around 80 volunteer5. Our volunteers have also run an
after-sch￿1 club at Spittal VC School, a local pr(mary school.
The trustees have continued to develop fundlng blds to progress projects and to enable the master plan
for Improvements to the club faulities to be implemented, along with stturing extra fvndlng to support
the club's actr"vlties.
Public benefit
Trijstees are aware of the publlc benefit ￿quIrementS for the activities olf the charfty and have been
provlded with Sinks to the ￿levant guidance issued by the Charlty Commission so that they a￿ fully
conversant w¥th these requirements.
Investments
The charity has no investments apart from the land and eqLtlpment in Its ownershlp.
Grantmaking
The charity does not make grants.
Volunt•ers
All the artlvlties undertaken by the charity are supported by voluntary effort and there are no pald
¢mployee5.

ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE
Charitsble actlvltles
Football achievements
In September 2024 the Club achieved the FAW Platlnum accreditation status for the 2024-25 sea50n,
the 6th year in a row to have met thls hlghest leve5. The dub also holds the Disablllty Sport Wales
insport Silver standard lachleved in September 2023}.
- The Women's team were once again the Pernbrokeshl￿ League thampions having won every game they
played. They a150 won the Pernbrokeshi￿ Women's Cup competltion.
One of our coaches was selected for the Welsh Women's Walking Football squad.
During July, of our Wathors players rep￿Sented Wales in the Mencap Home Nati¢ns tournament
held in Yorkshire.
We hosted a pèn-Disability Festival In November attended by disablllty football
teams from across south and west Wales.
Also In November our Under 10 squad were the Guard of Honour for the Swansea Clty FC Champlonship
match vs Portsmouth.
Support to other ¢hJritieg and oryanlsatlons
We hosted a touring team from Cwmavon Boys & Gid5 Club for frlendly games In May.
On Thursday 30th May we mowed and marked out Splttal Green ahead of the Communlty Fun Day
on 1st June. The club joined forces with the SpSttal Community to hold a highly successful Community
Fun and Football Day.
We hosted a stand and football play activities at the Pembrokeshlre County Council led Play Day 2024
at Llys y Fran Vlsitor Centre Irb August
In August we hosted a Swansea Clty Summer Soccer Camp at our Knock Field slte attended by over
80 chIld￿n from the local community.
Also in August we hosted the Clèrbeston Road Communlty Sports Day supported by volunteers and
businesses from the local community.
We hosted the start for a charitsble Christmas Illumlnated Tractor Run in December that raised over
£7,000 for local charfties
On 1st February we held a Comedy Evening with 5 comedians and Ilve music from local
band Green Jam.
On 5th Ap￿1 the club hosted the 2nd Division Cup seml-final on behalf of the Pembrokeshlre
Football Leagije
nk agreements remaln place between the dub and 3 local prlmary schoo15 (Spittal VC School, Ysgol
Maenclochog and St Aidans School, Wi5ton), including supporting a weekly after school club at Spittal VC
School. The ghool pitch is made avaSlable to the club occasionally and the dub asslsts the school by
mat*ing out their football pitch and running lanes for their school sports.
Communlcation$ with members and the local community
The charity has maintained a web site, an official Facebook page and a Twitter feed. These soclal med
tods consrderably asslst communications with club members and the local community. The Facebook
page in particular is an important route for initial contscts from new members. The club has contlnued
dirert, electronlc malllng of newsletters and bulletins to registered club members.
A volunteers Whatsapp group has continued to very successfully support Improved comrnunlcatlons wlth
voILtnteers,
The charity maintslns a cOMp￿hen$1ve Welcome Pack for members on the web slte. This is updated at
least Jnnually.

Funds raised from these events have helped malntsin a secure financSal position for the charlty and to
build a fund to support future development projerts. We also benefit￿ from the followlng sponsorship
and grBnts'.
In July we rece4ved corifimiation of a grant of E500 from Valero as sponsotship for a Glds Under Ils
playing klt.
In August we We￿ Su￿$$ful wlth an appllcatlon for fundlng from PA￿0, the Pembrokeshlre
Association of Commur¢ity Transport Organisatitsn. We were allocated £5,400 to pay for bus transport
costs for the Clarby Warrlors for the 2024-25 season of disability festival5.
In October 2024 approval was granted by Sport Wales following a successful grant submlssion, for
fundlng of £14,531 180010 of projert Costs) to Install 501ar panels wSth storage batteries at tsyo club
sltes. These "invest to save" developments will offset energy costs and allow the club to operate
more sustainably. The project will be deliVe￿d durlng 2025.
Also in October 2024 we recelved a grant from the Postcode Community Trust for a sum of É20.250.
The fijndlng wlll be used to progress our Improvement works at the Graham Roberts Field during
2025 to provide extra parking capacity for members and an addiUonal playlng area to cope with the
growth in membership.
On 20th December we were notified by Sport Wales that we had been awarded £750 towards the costs
of damage to assets caused by Stomi Darragh on 7th December.
In January a parent of an Under 10 player W0￿1ng at Valero was awarded an annual Volunteer
ContrlbutSon of £500 which he chose to donate to our Under IOS squaLI to part fund the group
attendance at the Stoke City FC "Play on the Pltch" event in May 2025.
In March our pan-disablllty squad received a donation of £750 from Valero towards new playlng
klt for the squad.
We are also supported by a range of local small bUs1r￿eS who pay for team kits and sponsorship boards
alongside our pltches.
FINANCIAL REVIEW
Prlnclpal fundlng sources
The membership fees Introdu￿ In July 2023 were increased durlng 2024-25 with the objectlve of
achieving a balance between income and operational expenditure. Thls is to free up fundralsing Income
obtained from spon50r5hip and events to be Invested into a programme of improvements to improve the
experience for members and the communlty. This change has provided a more rellable and Improved
income stream and a payment pro￿55 uslng an app called Spond was intrOdU￿d durtng the year to
simpllfy payments for members. The club membership fees sbii ￿maIn much cheaper than many other
clubs and sports.
Detalls of fundraising and expendlture a￿ provlded In the accounts. All funds ralsed are used for
supportlng the key objertives of the charity.
The club has no Investments but does hold an Snterest-bearlng account for fvnds retslned for
Improvement projects.

FUTURE PLANS
The charrty contlnues to plan for dellvery of Its strategic plan for improvement of facilities and to provlde
rnore support to enable improved actess from the wider cornmunlty, partlculady for female partlclpatlon
and dlsabllity football.
There was insufficient capaclty during 2024-25 to progress funding applications for Stsge 2 of the Ground
Development Plan, covering the development of new changing rooms and a clubroom. Priortty has been
glven during this period to implementatlon of an invest to save Init[a￿ve through ￿neWable energy
generation and to preparing proposals for an extended car part( and a new mini playing a￿# at our
Graham Roberts Playing Field to cope wlth Increased mewbershlp.
EnvlronmÈntal/Sustainablllty Inhlatives
We are one of 5 clubs across Wales Invited to be part of a FAW projert with consultancy Global Actlon
Plan, to trial forming a "Together Greener Group" to champion what we as a club can do to tske artlon on
climate change and other environmentsl issues. We have also been selected as a sports club case study
for a Welsh Govemment dimate attion campaign, showcaslng measures we have taken to reduce our
environmental Impact.

Governing document
The cha￿ty Is controlled by Its 9ovemlng document, a constitution. The charlty Is constituted a5
Chayltsble Incorporated Organisation.
Recrultment and appolntmÉnt of new trusteeg
Trustees are appoif)ted at An￿yal General Meetlngs in accordance with the appolntment provisions set out
In the constitution. At each AGM one third of trustees retire in rotatTron. These retirees are eligible for
re-electionlre-appolntment by the Members alongslde any other per50n5 who are nomlnated. Trustees
may also appoint to unfilled vacancles at any other time.
