The trustees present thelr report w￿h the flnandal statement5 of the chartty for the year ended 30 April 2024. The
trustees have adopted the provlslons of AccoLtntlng and Reportlng by Charltles.. Statement of Recommended

OBJECTIVES At4D AcrivrrIES
ObSe¢tlves and •lms
The object of Clarbeston Road Assoclauon Football Club CIO Is the promotion of community partldpation In healthy
reereation, In particular by the provislon of facllltles for the playlng of assoclation football.
SF9nificp4nt actlvltles
The primary artlvities of the charlty throughout the year have been to continue to provlde the opportunity for
members of the communlty to participate in football. as players, spertator5 and as volunteers.
Partlclpatlon levels have been maintalned with approxlmately 340 player members throughout the year. Five new
team5 were creatrd for the 2023-24 season with a new year group at Under 65 {2 teams) an addltional Under 10
team and new girls teams at Under 8s and Under 14s. Our volunteers have wn successful after school dubs at 2
local prtmary schools Iysgol Maenclochog and Splttal VC School) throughout the year.
The trustees have contlnued to devebp fundlng blds to progress projects and to enable the master plan for
Improvements to the club fadllues to be Implemented. During the year, the followfing project was progressed:
Approval was granted by the Cymru Football FourKlatlon, following a Successful grant appllcatlon, to proceed wlth
a project to sow wlld flowers on the embankment separatln9 the Minl Pltch and Pitch l at Knock Field and to Instsll
LED lights In the club Portakabrn. The 80% grant award Is equlvalent to £827.40 towards a total project cost of
£1,034.25.The wlldflower seedlrbg was completed April 2023 but seed 9ermlnatlon was compromised by very hot
weather In May and June. The club re-seeded the area at Its own expense In September.

Trustees are aware of the publlc beneflt requlrements for the artlvltles of the charlty and have been provided wlth
Ilnks to the relevant guidance issued by the Charlty Commlsslon so that they are fully conversant with these
eqU1￿Ments.
In￿stMents
The chartty has no Investments apart from the land and equlpment in Its ownership.
Grantmaking
The tharlty does not make grants.
Volunteers
All the art4vlties undertaken by the tharlty are SLFPPOrted by voluntary effort and there are no paid employees.

We organlsed a Big Help Out volunteertng event to celebrate the King's coronatlon in May
- Also in May we hosted a Welsh Police Cup semi-final match between Dyfed Powys ènd Gwent Poll￿ Force5 as
part of their inter-force competltion
We hosted a Stand and activities at the Pembrokeshire County Council led Play Day 2023 In August
We held the annual Charitable Mlchael Thomas Memorial Tournament in August In ald of the DPJ Foundatlon
We hosted the Clarbeston Road Communlty Sports Day and camlval in August.
We hosted a pan-Disabilrty Festival in Ottober
We hosted the start for a charitable Chr4Stmas Illuminated Tractor Run in December
- We h05ted the Pembrokeshire YFC for their practlcal competitions In April 2024

Maenck>chog and St Aidans School, Wfjston}, includlng supporting weekly after school football clubs at two of these.
As part of the Ilnk agreement wlth Spittal VC School, the School pitch is made avallable to the club occasionally and
the club asslsts the school by marklng out thelr footbbll pitch and running lanes for their g¢hool sports.
Football achievements
The charlty once again achleved Platinum accreditation from the FAW (for 2023-241, the hlghest level. It also
achieved the Dlsability Sport Wale5 insport Sllver standard In September 2023.
The Women's team were the Pembrokeshire league chèmpions having won every game they played.
The men's First Team won the 2024 Pembrokeshire Senior Cup competition for the flrst tlme in the club's history
and finished In third place in the Pembrokeshire League I, another best ever achlevement.
The Under 15s were loslng finalist in the Pembrokeshire Under 15s Cup competition.
Communic•tions wlth members and th¢ l*)cal communlty
The charity has malntained a web site, an offlcbal Facebook page and a Twltter feed. These social media tools
conslderably assist communications wlth club members and the local community. The Facebook page In particular
is an Iniportant route fttrr initial contatts from new members. The club has contlnued dlrect, electronlc mailing of
newsletters and bulleilns to ￿gIstered club members.
A volunteers Whatsapp group has contlnued to very succe5sfiJlly support improved Communications with
volunteers.
The charity malntalns a comprehensive Welcome Pack for members on the web slte. This Is updated at least
anrhLtally.

Fundraising and sponsorship
The charity delivered an events and fijndrdising programme for both club members and the Icral communlty
We held an Under 85 Football Festival in May
We hosted 4 Girls and Women's Festival and Open Day in August
We hosted the Clarbeston Road Village Sports Day and Carnival in August
We held a Children's Halloween Dlsco in Ortober
We Orga￿lsed 2 Christmas Turkey Bingo evenings In December
We held a SUC￿Ssful Comedy and Muslc Evening fundralser In January
Funds raised from these events have helpe(I maintaln a secure financial position for the charity and to bulld a fvnd
to support futu￿ development projects. We also benefftted from the ftsllowing sponsorshlp and grants..
In August we recelved a cheque for £250 from RWE Pembroke Power Station as fvnding towards training
equlpfnefit and kit.
In December we heard that we had been allocated £1,000 from the Dorothy Watkins Foundatlon towards fundlng
travel for our dlsability squad to festiva15 4cr055 South Wales
- Also in December we received a grant rrtsrn Sport Wales of £4,930 towards equipment purchase for our 5 new
teams and for trainlng of new volunteers
In January our Gids teams were awarded E200 from the FAW and Admiral Insurance for trdlning equipment.
In Febnjary, our DisabllSty squa(J was awarded £500 towards tralning gear through the Tesco Stronger Start Fund.
In March £500 was awarded from the South Hook Communlty Fund and was used to purchase a second-hand
Portaloo for one of our pitches
We are also supported by a range of lo¢al buslnesses who pay for sponsorshlp boards alongslde our pitches
FINANCXAL REVIEW
Princi￿1 funding sourc
The charity has previously been largely dependent on tralning subs, sponsorship and hjndralslng events for dellvery
of its object5. Disruption to the weekly tralning schedules because of poor weather and clashing events during
2022-23 redU￿d Income and the trustees implemented a membershlp fee instead for the 2023-24 season,
commencing Sn July 2023. This has provided a MO￿ reliable and Smproved income St￿aM and slmpler payment
processes fgr both the cha￿ty and members. The tru5tee5 aspi￿ to Cover operatlonal costs from membershlp
Income and use fundraising Income towards facilities improvements.
Details of fvndraising and expendltLtre are provided In the accourts. All funds raised are used for supportlng the
key obJ"ectives of the charty.
The club has no investments but does hold an interest-bearlng account for funds retained for improvement
projects.
Resèrves policy
The chadty has a Reserves policy. Thls has been regularly reviewed by the trustees throughout the year to ensure

FUTURE PLANS
The charity wntinue5 to plan for dellvery of Its strategic plan for improvement of facilities and to provlde more
support to enable improved access from the wider communlty, particularty for female participation and disability
football.
It was not possible to progress funding applications for Stage 2 of the Ground Development Plan, covering the
developrnent of new changing rooms and a clubroom during 2023 and it is hoped to progre5S thls in 2024 followlng
a further revlew. It 15 Still planned to develop an addltional playlng area although given the potentlal cost of the
orlginal proposal for an extra plt¢h at the Graham Roberts PlayFng Field, thls Is being ￿-appraISed.

Governing document
The charity is controlled by Its gctverning document, a Constitu￿On. The charlty Is constituted as a Charftable
Incorporated Organisation.
Recruitment and appointment of new trustees
Trustees are appointed at Annual General Meetlngs in accordan￿ wlth the appolntment provlslons set out in the
constitutlon. At each AGM one thlrd of trustees retire In rotation. These retlrees a￿ ellglble
for
re-e1ertion/￿app04ntrnent by the members alongslde any other persons who are nominated. Trustees may also
appolnt to unfilled vacancles at any other tlme.
Organisjtional structure
The trustees form the Management Committee for the charity and meet on a monthly basls. G0Veman￿ Is

The charlty has a vislon and strategy for future dlrection and development that was last reviewed in March 2023. It
