To further or benefit the residents of Newtown district in Cambridge City, without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or of political, religious or other opinions by associating together the said residents and the local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort of improving the conditions of life for the residents.
Objects: To Further Or Benefit The Residents Of The Kaleidoscope And Accordiahousing Developments And Other Residents Living In The Southern End Ofthe Newtown District In Cambridge City, Without Distinction Of Sex,sexual Orientation, Race Or Of Political, Religious Or Other Opinions Byassociating Together The Said Residents And The Local Authorities,voluntary And Other Organisations In A Common Effort To Advanceeducation And To Provide Facilities In The Interests Of Social Welfare Forrecreation And Leisure Time Occupation With The Objective Of Improvingthe Conditions Of Life For The Residents.in Furtherance Of These Objects But Not Otherwise, The Trustees Shall Havepower:a) To Establish Or Secure The Establishment Of A Community Centre And Tomaintain Or Manage Or Co-Operate With Any Statutory Authority In Themaintenance And Management Of Such A Centre For Activities Promoted Bythe Charity In Furtherance Of The Above Objects.b) To Develop Community Infrastructure And Respond To Local Needs Forcommunity Activity And Shared Interest.
