Structure and Mana
ement
' Church Council met four kn.mes during the year. It continued as a dectsion making and
monitoring body. It re￿iVed written reports from the Teams and considered proposals from the
Teams.
. The Leadership Team has the overarching responsbi il.ty for the administration of the Church.
It is supported by Teams of 415 members perfomiing the operabonal activty within the Church.
The Teams are Communications, Finan￿ & ProFety, Outreach & Mission. Pastoral and
Safeguarding Teams are mandatory. Each team had a representative from the Leadership
Team who toth raises matters from that team and reports back to it.
. Ad hoc teams can be established for s￿[fiC purwses.
Safeguarding
AII DBS checks were up to date. Safeguarding trainirvJ at both Foundation and Advanced levels
was undertaken by the relevant members.
The im
ortance and value of Communications within the Church
In the Connexional Year 202&24. the thurch had one Sunday moming setvice of worship at
10.00. The average weekly atterKlance across the year was W55.
A monthly Newsletter, distribuied to all n￿nber$ and adherents by email or hard copy, kept all
in touch with church events. Shepherds kept in r￿ular contact wtth their flocks. particulady
those living alone. A church prayer chain, open to all members, was in place for speedy
communication. A Shepherds, V￿￿,$ App group shared prayer requests in a timely manner to
all Shepherds.

Finance & Pro
The Standard Fonn of Accounts for the year ended 315t August 2024 attached.
Income
' In tern￿ of income from personal giving. the aclual amunt r￿1Ved VRS very marginally
under that estimated. Wrthin that. there was a decline in the totsl recewed from Stsnding Orders
(down by 6.4%). This was largely explained by a fall in membership.
. the Gift Day appeal exceeded expectations.
. the contribution from the Gift Aid Refund Scheme remained IM￿rtant to church finances.
bringing an income of c. £11.000
Incorne derived from room lettings showed an increase of 15% to that predicted. This is largely
due to an addi(iork31 Slimming Workl dass and the impad of the rentsl increase from January
2024.
. Taking all income sources. the final total of £87,119 exceeded the budget prediction of
£79,750 by 9.3/.
Eypenditu
. the single biggest item of expenditure remained the contribution paid to the Circuit
. the reduction in expenditure on utilitie5 to that estifnated was the most signfficant item of
expendrture. There were a number of reasons for this. Most importantly were a general fall in
utilrty prices and new, more beneficial, contracts with utilty companies.
. in expenditure on proF£rty, as in rxevious yea￿. there were no planned projects. Expenditure
on property was therefore one of general Maintenan￿ and repairs.
In Summary." Church finances realised an excess of income over expenditure of £11,713
ReseNes Policy. The policy agreed by the Trustees is to maintain unrestricted fijnds at a level
that equates to three months, budgeted annual expendrture- £19,200 for the year under review.
Reserves have been held at this level or more throughout the financial year ending 31" August
2024.
The building and contents are fulty insured. and the Church carries publ￿ lia￿.1￿ at an
