As the charity's trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. you consider th8t the audit requirement of section 144121 of the Charities Act 2011 Ithe Act) does not 8ppIy. It is my responsibility to state, on the basis of procedures specified in the General Direction5 given by the Charity Commissioners under section 14515llbl of the Act, whether particular matters have come to my attention. My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusu81 items or disclosures in the accourkts and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters. Amongst other activities, members were involved in organising food bank donations, helping Harpenden youngsters make the most of their potential and providing facilities for residents of Harpenden. Major donations during the year included-. Hope and Homes for Children £7,800 Youth Talk £7,800 MND Association~ Herts Branch £7,800 Harpenden Plus Partnership £5,000 Empowering Kids in Kenya £2,231 In total, over£45,OOOwas raised and donated.
