Page 1 I report on the accounts of the Charitable Incorporated Organisation for the year ended 30 June 2024, which are set out on pages 2 to 6. As the charity's trustees you are responsible for the preparation ot the accounts. you consider that the audit requirement of section 144121 of the Charities Act 2011 (the Act) does not apply. It is my responsibility to state, on the basis of procedures specified in the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners under section 145 15llbl of the Act. whether particular rnatters have come to my attention. My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners. An examination includes a review of the 8ccounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the 8ccounts. In connection with myexamination. no matter h8s eometo my attention.. which gives me reasonable c8use to believe that in any material respect the requirements. to keep accounting records in accordance with section 130 of the Act. to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records. to comply with the 8ccounting requirements of the Act,. .have not been met- or 12) to which. in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding ol the accounts to be reached. Page 2 Rotary in Harpenden CIO was established and registeied at the Register of Charities as a charitable incorporated org8nis8tion on 4 September 2015. It was established by th8 President and others of the Harpenden Village Rotary Club (the Clubl to take over the Club's charitable octivities previously run through the Harpenden Village Rotary Charitable Trust. During the year ended 30 June 2024 the trustees were the following ex-officio officers of the Club: President President-elect Immediate PP together with . Liz Jack David Rankin Richard Young John Hopkins David Nye and Colin Robinson until Feb 2024 No payment was made, or is due to be made,fortheyearended 30 June 2024to anyofthe trustees nor to the Independent Examiner. Hugh Lawrence Teresa Heritage Claire Wright John Murray (Chair of trustees) Lynn Kennedy Pam Stewart Panting Brian Grant until October 2023 The objects of the CIO are: the rellef of the poor and needy in Harpenden, any other part of the United Kingdom or elsewhere in the world, or to be for such other charitable purpose, institution or object, as the members of the CIO shall in duly constituted meeting direct. Funds not immediately required may be invested in authorised investments. The charity's bank accounts are held 8t Natwest, St Albans. Held at the traditional end of July slot, Classics on the Common raised over £38,500 for the benefit of our local community & international charities. Amongst other activities, members were involved in orchestrating food bank donations, helping Harpenden youngsters make the most of their potential and providing facilities for residents of Harpenden. Major donations duringthe year included: Pump Aid £7,800 Wheathampstead CommunityGroup £7,800 Harpenden First Responders £4,116 Redbourn Charities (Food bank) £3,600 Friends of St Luke's Redbourn £3,325 In total. over£42,OOOwas raised and donated. All donatlons are shown on pages 3 and 4.
