## Section D Achievements and performance

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year**

Ministry of Music has been operating for 12 years. During this time we have supported almost 700 events, received positive feedback from many event organisers, established partnerships with other Christian organisations and seen the demand for our services grow. But most importantly the vision of drawing people closer to God has been evident at many events where people have become Christians and lives have been impacted by God!

2021 was a better year than 2020 in so many ways and it’s looking like 2022 will be even better, with all our recent booking enquiries now being for live music events once again! In fact, we are hopeful that 2022 will see bookings return to pre Covid levels. During 2021 we worked with 36 Christian artists.

Financially the last couple of years has been tough for MoM, but because we took quick action in reducing Mike and Kim’s paid hours and we also received regular support from a few faithful partners and some generous donors God was faithful and has seen us through the pandemic.

During Advent we once again shared Christmas music videos and songs by our artists on Facebook and YouTube. Each song was accompanied by a daily advent bible verse. This proved very popular and reached 34 thousand people with the Christmas message via music and word!

We give thanks to God for all that was achieved during 2021. Music can be such a powerful and culturally relevant way to spread the Christian message and we are thankful that we were able to achieve this via both live and online events. Here is some of the encouraging feedback we received...

_“All your musicians have been phenomenal. So a massive thank you to you and the artists' team, for making our events happen.”_

_“Thank you again for your contribution to our event - we absolutely loved having you there!”_

_“Thank you to all who worked on the Advent Artists for 2021. I have enjoyed listening to all of the songs.”_

Other operational activities undertaken during 2021 included:

- We joined the online ‘Christian Creative Directory’ to let more people find out about Ministry of Music.

- We partnered with ‘The Music and Media Awards’ (TMMP) and nominated several artists for awards. Mike also had the honour of presenting a couple of awards at the online awards ceremony.

- We provided a Ministry of Music ‘Song of The Month’ for the Spotify ‘Best of British Christian Music’ podcast.

- We started to use Facebook Fundraising.

We thank the excellent artists that we work with for the use of their musical gifts at the many events we facilitate across the UK. Following our 2021 artist review five new artists will be working with us in 2022.
