Trustee Selection Methods : How New Trustee are Inducted and Trained: On 1 on 1 Meeting and trough the materials support such as DVD, ZOOM and Links to others organisation we have membership like CCPAS and Institute of Fundraising.
Objectives & Activities : To relieve poverty and social isolation among refugees, asylum seeker, migrant-speaking Africans and with a focus on the needs of the Congolese including through the provision of an interpreting and translation service, health and housing advice and support service and such other ways as the trustees may from time to time think fit. To advance the education and training of such refugees, asylum seekers, migrant workers and their dependents so as to advance them in life and assist them to adapt within a new community.
Activities: This organisation is to provide: Help and care support in people’s homes. A free translation and interpretation service. Employment support information. Reading services. Help Congolese people to complete forms for the Embassy of Congo Democratic Republic. ESOL education will be provided by the Trustee. Achievements & Performance Charity contributed to become a member of Institute of Fundraising through the year and also the charity been supported by 12 volunteers on street fundraising.
The charity hugely supported people during covid-19 outbreak with food, essentials, advice, counselling sessions (group and 1-2-1).
Financial Review : In the 2021 /22 accounts. 100% of the MBM income was provided by Big Lottery Community Fund ( £9660). We spent £9885.
90% of expenditure on pay related costs.
Statutory Notes to the Accounts :The reserve Policy for the MBM is to hold a sum equivalent to 3 months’ average expenditure. This should be sufficient to meet any unforeseen item of major expenditure on manses and to be able to continue, in the short term, finding planned activities in the event of the growing of organisation.
