## **Celebrating Shakespeare One -day Festival 23 April** .

A very successful event after two year’s gap due to Covid pandemic. Audience feedback was very positive and the costs were met by ticket income, along with a health contribution to St. Mary de Haura after a packed free concert in the morning.

## **Shoreham Catalyst Club**

This new initiative started in January 2022 as a monthly salon-style event in the foyer of Ropetackle Arts Centre, in partnership with, and hosted by Dr David Bramwell, founder of Brighton Catalyst Club. The format of three short talks by different people sharing their passion for a particular topic has proved very successful. By the end of the year the monthly session was selling out in advance and will continue into 2023.

## **Schools project**

Despite dedicated efforts by our School and Community lead, the idea of a writing project with the two local secondary schools did not come to fruition due to lack of capacity from schools, which are still struggling with catch up for their pupils after the long disruption to core education. We will revisit our offer for children and young people in the new year.
