|Policy on grant making|Para 1.38|The DRF currently operate a grantmaking scheme to<br>support other projects who’s objectives fall in line<br>with that of our own. The DRF is accepting of letters<br>of interest from groups or individuals with front-line<br>medical expertise that carry out training and<br>education in developing countries that lie within the<br>scope of the charities operations.<br>Those invited to apply will need to provide a costed<br>proposal to be considered by the DRF Board of<br>Trustees. Initially grants of up to £5000 will be<br>made available to successful applications.<br>Consideration will also be made for equipment and<br>other charity assets to be made available for<br>successful applications.|

This support includes, but is not limited to,<br>logistics, travel, food and accommodation for<br>operational staff that volunteer on trips.<br>Expenditure also goes on additional medical<br>equipment that has been specifically requested by<br>recipients.<br>Further funding is also provided to build a<br>governance framework that allows our trainers to<br>build a robust and tailored training program for<br>each location we visit, based on their local<br>healthcare requirements. The DRF also envisages<br>that funding will be required to become and<br>internationally accredited training centre.|
