a team of developmeTrl workers and freelance consllltanw working wth some of our initial partners. The irustees Meet

workin8 towards our ¢haritable objectives and we are following through on our strategic objectives. The board of trustees
currently consist of Vicky J¢)nes. JoaEJne Harvev 8nd HeleE] Sanderson. Helen Sanderson is the CEO ofcommunity Circles
and 15 uliimaiely responsible for the Tnan8gement of the organis&iion as a whole with Martin Routledg¢ taking on

2020-21 was signifi&qntly disruptoj by the Covid pandemT4 With impact both tharity aaivity and financ¢s.
Nevenheless we adapted in order io deliver io people and projects and we were able to sustain sufficiemt finances to

Don¢aster Partnership
We ar¢ ¢ontinuing to SUPPOrt and mentor local Age UK *aff on the lottery funded project and assist with development
and evaluation. A suc¢essful foyrth year for the project Includ￿ the scheme's coniinuing expansion. In addition to
coniiftued support for opetataonal stsff we have been ofFeTiDg advi¢¢ ts) senior staff relatin8 to P95t-lottery sustatnabIlity
Cireles Connected
Our n¥0 part time community COEme¢tor5 conttnued to support oldtt people to ¢onnect to each other in Abingdon and
.4shton. The Abingdon project was coming to the conclusion of Lottery Supp)rt and a reFQrt on its successful work was
Submitted. The major dev¢lopment ￿ driven by the pandemic. In the earlv stagcs of the r]rst I(￿kdOw￿ the decision
was taken to move the projects on-line. I￿￿¢#d of a programme of community b&sed a¢ttvities these are now offered
0￿-ll￿e. In the context of Covid this has bccn very successful. Daily and weekly prograTnmes of activitEes and
connections hav¢ b¢en provided by staff. volunt¢er& freelaneeTS and members. Advanta4¢s of the on-line offer have
included the ability to include members beyond the two geographica] areas (numbers quickly gtrw to more than 5001
and to sus¢ain an off¢r in Abingdon after the end of Lottery fimding. As th¢ financial year was coming to an end we
started to plan how to retum to fac¢ Éo face supwrt in Ash￿ when Covid conditions allow.
W&rwickshire project
We continued to 5UPk￿ ts) the County Council to share Circles mahodology wtth *atutory gnd volutttary sector
partner5. This project has now concluded.
Sllffolk prnjert
The pandemic hit just 8$ we were getting propttlv Started wth this tiktryear projecl. In ag[r￿ent with the Suffolk
Conununits. Connecied tearn and leadership we adapted so thai our first year supw>rt shifted to onknline. This has
in¢luded the provision of si￿]ficant on-line training directly to the Suffolk Tean and alw io partner organisations
Includin8 both statutory and community and Troluntary s¢¢tor parniershÉps. We have givth direct advice on specific
projects atjd activities io a rdnge of groups wthin 1he three tsrget areas aThd made our tools and resources available as
appropriate. We have given specifjc suptK>rt io a local hospi¢e. in particularon the'one page profile" approach and we
have assisted the deweloptnent of a public fa¢inu video animation for their OUtr¢ach proje¢i. Moving into the next year

Sorne funding from the Shared Lives charity allowed us to work with them offering e-leaming and on-line ts3inin8 to

and training support to homes Staff and mentored the communÈty connector to the project. During the early srages we

In the second half gf the year we reviewed our position and offers in the context of the conttnuing pandemic. As a result

The aits¢hed rtteipts and payments accounts show the eurrnt sl* of the fin8nces, which ihe Tn]*ees considers to be
acceptable. Tot￿ in¢omin8 rtsources were £99 ?74 (2020- £284.liD and toral outgoingpayments amounred to £154.739
(2020- £166.430) the net expenditure for the year wa5 £55.465 (net i￿oMe 20?0- £117.707). Restri¢ted fi]nd5 carried
