The foodbank supports those in crisis in Bradford South. The Foodbank operates from "The

to clients through an e-referral system. Referrals are made through various professionals,
welfare and charitable organisations via the Trussell Trust registration system. Referrals are

decrease of around 11.5010 compared to 2023. Wyke Foodbank receives significant donations
of food & toiletries from local churches, schools, businesses and individuals in addition to
financial donations.
Throughout 2024 "The Meeting Place" (cafe) which was opened in 2023 has proven to be very
SLJccessful as a place for local residents to seek help and advice. The Meeting Place was set
up to run our financial inclusion work from, offering good quality free advice. From this base
we have a benefit adviser, children & family worker, independent financial advisor and the
DWP outreach teatn. From the work of the benefit advisor alone last year we estimate over
half million pounds went back into the pockets of our clients. Placing a cafe in front of house
is to break down barriers for people seeking help. The cafe is run on a not-for-prof1t basis.
