|COUNCIL||Project Y1317is a project to teach life skills to children<br>and youth. One of the components<br>ofthe|||
|||Y1317project is the 'Update<br>My Date' agenda. The goal of the project is to equip students<br>in schools|||
|||with the information<br>and skills they need to develop<br>and maintain<br>healthy<br>relationships<br>and|||
|||marriages,<br>helping<br>them to avoid negative<br>relationship<br>experiences<br>in adolescence<br>and adulthood.|||
|||The main activity within the 'Update<br>My Date' agenda was the marriage<br>and family relationships|||
|||educational<br>programme<br>'Update<br>My Date: Love and Responsibility'<br>which was taught to the students|||
|||in secondary<br>schools<br>in Kyiv region. This was designed<br>to provide systematic<br>and in-depth|||
|||understandin<br>ofthe material<br>b<br>the students<br>and consisted<br>of8 trainin<br>sessions<br>90 min. each||.|

|||After leaving the orphanage<br>the most difficult period<br>in the life starts for 16—18-year-old teenagers.|||
|||This is a transition<br>from 'care-free'<br>life in the orphanage<br>which is almost "closed" to adult<br>life, when|||
|||they have to make their own decisions and take responsibility<br>for them, to be ready to resist bad|||
|||influences<br>from other people, to solve day-to-day<br>problems.|||
|||In the first year after leaving<br>an orphanage,<br>they face issues related to getting ajob, a place to live|||
|||(flat), to plan their personal<br>budgets,<br>to get access to medical services and other housekeeping|||

|||Detdom has 16years ofexperience<br>ofworking<br>with children<br>from orphanages.<br>They see a great|||
|||need to provide practical<br>help during<br>the first year after orphans<br>graduate.<br>This helps young people|||
