**Objects:** THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE TO PROMOTE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC THE CONSERVATION, PROTECTION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE PHYSICAL AND NATURAL ENVIRONMENT IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY:I. EDUCATING THE PUBLIC ABOUT CLIMATE CHANGE AND THE DEPLETION OF NATURAL RESOURCES;II. ENCOURAGING COMPANIES AND INSTITUTIONS TO UNDERTAKE SYSTEMIC CHANGE IN THEIR PRODUCTION PROCESSES; ANDIII. TRANSFORMING INDIVIDUAL BEHAVIOUR AND MODES OF CONSUMPTION.

**Activities:** Mlinda Foundation's focus is to facilitate development of rural electrification projects using renewable energy in India.  Communities in project areas had no access to reliable electricity and opportunities to earn income were limited. Initial results from project areas show household income has increased by over 60% through the use of electric-powered equipment in households and for agriculture.
