The Charity is a Charitable Incorporatsd Organisation, incorporated on 4
August 2015. It is governed by its constitution, which was amend8d on
2311112015 and further amend8d on 41212016 on the advi￿ of the charity
commission and our advisors.

The Trustaes are fomed of patients, two staff and thre8 doctors.
Each of the three groups of trustees much be represented at meetings,
and all groups are required to approve funding requests. This
arrangement ensures the trustee body has independence from the
practits, and can ensure that patient benefrt is at the core of its adions.
The current Constitution requires that any retiring trustee must tE
repla￿d by another trustee from the same group to ensure the trustee
body maintains rts independence.

Ob"ectives and activities
To relieve sickness and preserve health for the public b8n8fit among
persons residing pennanently or temporarily in Hythe and the Waterside
and the surrounding area by the provision of medical and other
equipment and supporting development of facilities in the surgeries of the
Red And Green Practice including, but not exclusively, by providing
assistance in the specialist training of dodors, nurses, ancillary and other
medical staff at the Red And Green Practi￿ not provided for by the
Health Authority such training to be made available to personnel whether
they be whole time or part time or engaged under a fixed term contraGt
and to assist In the promotion of local initiatives in healthca￿ provislon.

The charity trust88s confimi that th8y have complied Y￿th their duty to
have due regard to the guidance on public benefit published by the
commission in exercising their powers or duties.
In particular during the year we have provided a grant to Convert
storage space into a meeting room to allow clinical and patient group
meetings to take pla￿ on site, as well as providing 8 Spa￿ for staff
training. We also provided a grant to upgrade the entrance doors at the
Waterside stte to electric. allowing easier access for all patients. including
those with mobility challenges or small children.

Some of the business of the charity was necessarily moved online during
the coronavirus pandemic and has been conducted by email and
electronic means. This has been found to be an efficient way to
communicate between trustees and so these practices have continued
this year, with face to fa￿ meetings where raquired to consider grants.

during the year
The trustees would like to record their thanks to our anonymous
beneficiary who provided a 6ignfficant legacy, which allowed the
foundation of the charity.
The trustees have rnade further grants this year to fulfil their charitable
objectives. The trustees consider they are applying a robust approach to
ensure they are not approving requests for expenditure which would
normally be funded by the health authority or which do not have a cl8ar
patient benefit.
The trustees have a180 provided large Ètems of equipment to the Practic8
in previous years to improve the facilities and services available to
patients.
