## **Alne Village Hall Treasurers Report for 12 months ending 2 January 2022 –** 

The financial accounts for the period 3[rd] January 2021 to 2[nd] January 2022 are shown in detail in the Income and Expenditure Account. These have been audited by Phill Thomas. 

The accounts should be viewed against the back drop of COVID restrictions which were in place for much of the year. There was very little activity at the hall until September 2021. 

Excess of income over expenditure was £2366 which considering there was very little in the way of events/fundraising and no Lottery is a good result. 

On 2[nd] January 2022 the village hall account had a balance of £24,029.65

Notes to the accounts 

1. Mark Brewer handed over the role of treasurer to Gerard Buxton on 1/3/21. 

2. Gerard Buxton stepped down as treasurer mid- November, role picked up by

4. Value of bar stock held at year end is £544 it was nil at the beginning of the year. 5. No Lottery in 2021 due to covid. 

6. No grants applied for or awarded in 2021. 

7. No major refurbishment work was undertaken, only some minor repairs. 

   - Council £20. 

   - £48 plus two sessions cancelled in December. 

10. with the Octopus account by over £600 at the beginning of the year.

   - one hour which now costs about £6.50 per hour.

13. As a comparison hire income in 2019 (pre Covid) was £3754. 

14. Outgoings (excluding bar stock) was £2957 which means we just about broke when you take into account the fact that we benefited from the electricity bill credit 

## Future Outlook 

This will be from Easter. Hopefully she will be back next year. 

## Financial Priorities for 2022 

1. Try and find an alternative electricity deal. DONE 

2. Try and find a more competitive insurance premium. 

3. Review hiring fee structure in view of increased electricity prices. 

4. Ensure all hiring fees collected in a timely manner.

5. Consider any major expenditure projects and possible grant funding. 6. Relaunch the Alne Village Hall Lottery.
