Pastors Report. Kingsgate Church, Helston Simon and Vicky Rootham For year 2022-2023

This year has been has been a tricky year for the church. During the year we have had a number families in the congregation decide to leave the church and join other local churches. Whilst we believe that people should be in the place where God wants them to be, it is still a difficult thing to have to deal with as leaders.

Life-Church at home has continued to operate once a month where we have had some great teaching and good times of fellowship. During the year we had a couple of months of having life church twice in once month, however, some of the congregation left during this period, so it felt it was right to return back to a once a month Life Church.

During the summer months, we hosted another youth camp at our property. We had a good number of young people attend over the course of a weekend. A team organised activities and bible teaching sessions throughout the weekend. A good time was had, despite a storm running through the camp on the Saturday night flooding some tents and the wind having a good attempt at blowing the marquee away.

During December, we again held the Walk to Bethlehem event serving as an outreach event to bring the focus back to the point of Christmas. The event was well attended.

During the year we have been able to give financially to work of a national charity along with providing financial and general support for local people and families. We look forward to another year of seeing where God leads us.
