The charity was entered onto the Register of Charities on 27 July 2015 by the Charity Commission of England and Wales. ## **Objectives** To promote for the benefit of the public the conservation, protection and maintenance of heritage buildings and their contents, gardens and historic landscapes in the Czech Republic in particular, but without limitation, by supporting the Czech National Trust (CNT). ## **Activities** 2022 was a successful and busy year for the Czech National Trust Abroad (CNTA). We helped to expand Czech National Trust’s (CNT) internal and international reach and educational prowess, especially by connecting much better on a practical level to the National Trust of England through the Erasmus+ project, as well as to the INTO (International National Trusts Organisation) membership through the INTO Places programme. The continued help of our supporters enabled us to carry on with our work in support of CNT and Czech heritage. 1. CNTA/ INTO played a key part in the implementation of the Erasmus+ project in the Czech Republic. CNT coordinated an educational exchange programme between 5 European National Trusts (NT). The grant of 73,000 Euros continued to be administered by the CNT with CNTA/INTO’s support from London. CNTA/INTO hosted the “kick off" meeting in Surrey, UK in June and the international exchanges/secondments of twelve heritage experts into six EU countries in the autumn. We helped formulate the programme of a fourteen-day secondment of two heritage experts from English and Scottish NT to the Czech Republic and two Czechs to the English NT and the Italian NT (FAI). 2. CNTA negotiated the selection of CNT as a part of INTO’s global membership programme INTO Places and helped to launch it in the Czech Republic. The INTO Places programme allows CNT members/supporters to visit more than 1,100 historic sites in 31 countries (incl. Czech Republic) for free or at a significant discount. 3. CNTA supported CNT in the presentation of its successful project “Ticket to the New World” at the Bohemian National Hall in New York and two other venues. Programme included an exhibition, lectures and a book launch. 4. CNTA continues to support CNT’s campaign to return the nationally revered monumental statue of the Winged Arrow by the famous Czech sculptor Otto Gutfreund, to its original location on the roof of the Skoda Palace in the centre of Prague. 5. We helped to secure a further donation from a generous private industrialist donor which enabled CNT to restore the front terrace of its pilot project in Moravia. 6. CNTA helped to forge a relationship with a new organisation of private chateau owners ANOPA leading to the signing of a Memorandum of co-operation. ANOPA represents 36 Czech privately owned and municipal chateaux. CNTA negotiated ANOPA’s participation in CNT’s Erasmus+ project. 7. CNTA continues to represent CNT on the Board of INTO. ## **Trustees’ Responsibility** The trustees are responsible for this annual report and the receipts and payments accounts.
