The charity was entered onto the Register of Charities on 27 July 2015 by the Charity Commission of England and Wales. ## **Objectives** To promote for the benefit of the public the conservation, protection and maintenance of heritage buildings and their contents, gardens and historic landscapes in the Czech Republic in particular, but without limitation, by supporting the Czech National Trust. ## **Activities** 2021 continued to prove a rather difficult year for our organisation due to the post Covid pandemic situation. Staging public events, getting speakers and attendees to travel to them (especially older ones, or internationally) to support our fundraising efforts were not back to normal. However, many of our friends and supporters continued to show us unprecedented support and friendship. It enabled us to carry on with our work in support of the Czech National Trust (CNT) and Czech heritage. Some of our work and meetings continued to be carried out virtually and through social media and our website. 1. CNTA supported CNT in preparation to present its successful project “Ticket to the New World” at the Bohemian National Hall in New York. Programme to include an exhibition, lectures and a book launch. The ongoing pandemic situation caused the event to be postponed, yet again to June 2022. 2. Together with INTO (International National Trusts Organisation) we continued to support a successful CNT application for an Erasmus grant to coordinate an educational exchange programme between 5 European National Trusts (NT). These are: INTO, NT of Scotland, FAI (NT of Italy), Herita (NT of Belgium) and Slovak NT. The grant of 73 000 Euros will be administered by the CNT with CNTA/INTO’s support from London. The commencement of the project had to be postponed until 2022, however CNTA supported a series of strategic meetings online to revise the project plan and timelines in order to be ready for a “kick off“ in early 2022. 3. CNTA helped CNT to launch a new campaign and continues to play a key role in CNT’s efforts to return the monumental statue of the nationally revered Skoda Arrow by the famous Czech sculptor Otto Gutfreund, to its original location on the roof of the Skoda Palace in the centre of Prague. The statue was destroyed during the communist times and the CNT is endeavouring with CNTA’s support to raise enough money to produce its replica and return it to its rightful place. The original drawings of the statute were gifted to the CNT thanks to CNTA efforts and were auctioned at the end of 2021 in a prominent auction room in Prague, and although unsold, it increased support from the media and the public for the cause, as well as increased donations to the project, to the CNT and CNTA. All will be used to further the project. 4. CNTA helps to liaise and build relationship with the Austrian owner of the château neighbouring the CNT pilot project in Moravia and has secured for CNT several generous financial and in kind gifts in support of the project as well as a further substantial donation from a generous private industrialist donor. 5. CNTA continues to represent CNT on the board of INTO. ## **Trustees’ Responsibility** The trustees are responsible for this annual report and the receipts and payments accounts.
