A full church<br>projects o r services<br>identifed in the accounts. was entertained by the South<br>Derbyshire Music Centre Swing<br>Band and a children’s choir from<br>Repton Primary and St Wystan’s led<br>by Abi Johnson.  Music was<br>interspersed with short talks by Prof<br>Martin Biddle, Prof Mark Horton and<br>Stephen Gould.  Refreshments were<br>provided by the Gould family and<br>the evening fnished with the count-<br>down to the switching on of the new<br>floodlights accompanied by the<br>ringing of the bells.  £550 was<br>raised towards the cost of the<br>floodlights.<br>Thanks to this and some very<br>generous donations including the<br>electrical work being carried out by<br>James Williamson at no cost the<br>Trustees were able to donate the<br>full cost of the floodlights to Repton<br>PCC in December 2021.  The PCC<br>has yet to identify the next project<br>they would like the Friends to raise<br>**----- End of picture text -----**<br>

money for.<br>Work on a new church guide is<br>progressing and the frst of a series<br>of information sheets under the<br>general heading ‘Around St<br>Wystan’s Church’, highlighting<br>‘Features of Interest’ is now<br>available for visitors.<br>The frst newsletter giving<br>information on activities and an<br>item ‘From the Archives’ was sent<br>out to Friends in June 2021,<br>followed by the second in<br>December 2021. It is intended to<br>send out newsletters twice a year<br>to keep Friends informed.<br>Statement confrming Para 1 18 . Review of the charity’s Para 1 21 . The total receipts for 2021 were<br>fnancial position at the £5,877 29 an. d total payments were<br>end of the period £5,112 55 which inclu. ded the donation<br>to Repton PCC for the cost of the<br>floodlighting and Charities Aid<br>Foundation charges for handling<br>donations, subscriptions and Gift Aid.<br>This resulted in a surplus for the year of<br>£764 74 an. d  a fnal balance of<br>£1,509 01.<br>Statement explaining the Para 1 22 . The aim of the T rustees is to maintain a<br>policy for holding reserves balance in unrestricted funds equating<br>stating why they a re held to two months of payments.
