Friends of the Arts Centre [Charity no. 1162818] Trustees’ Report for 2024-2025
Despite the clear need to invigorate our supporter base, as described in our previous report, we have been unable to finalise arrangements within the Arts Centre for our publicity and recruitment purposes, and this year has been disappointing. We still have a small income steam from existing Direct Debits and the associated Gift Aid, so we were very pleased to be able to support the Arts Centre’s Community Engagement work, as foreshadowed in our last report. Income and expenditure were almost in balance over the year.
This level of activity is completely inadequate in the face of cuts to the county’s funding of the Arts Centre, and continued pressure on Arts Council finances. It therefore remains our top priority to develop a means of attracting new supporters.
