## **Report of activities year end 2021** 

## **Description of Project:** 

Independent support group to people affected by lung conditions including their friends, family and carers. Providing information, advice and education to members. 

## **Aims of Project:** 

**To provide mutual support to members -** for all people with lung disease, their family, friends and carers, from all sections of the community. 

**To provide information and education to members** - through organising guest speakers and providing publications. 

**To promote the group** - raising awareness locally among people affected by lung disease, health professionals, politicians and the general public 

## **Activities:** 

In person support group meetings were suspended April 2020-March 2021 due to the Covid19 pandemic. 

We provided telephone and online support to our members who were struggling with coping during the Covid pandemic. As well as regularly providing essential items to our members who were unable to go out. 

Sadly, we lost members to the Covid-19 virus. 

We continued to write letters for support from local businesses, supermarkets, to keep our momentum going and keep raising awareness of our group.
