## **Introduction** 

NEEDS Africa is a charitable organization committed to making a positive impact on the lives of individuals in Africa and other regions. Whilst 2024 saw a reduction in our activities in comparison to previous years, we nonetheless continued to both support and look for opportunities to help and provide aid where possible. 

## **Activities** 

In line with our goal to change Africa for the better one life at a time, we began the year by sponsoring and purchasing a laptop for a post grad student Mary M from Lesotho, attending George Whitefield College, Cape Town, South Africa. 

In collaboration with Compassion UK through their Child Sponsorship Scheme, this past year we have sponsored a child (Sarafina) in Uganda which provides schooling and basic needs for orphans in Third World and developing countries. It is our intention to increase our participation in this scheme as well as restart our own Child Sponsorship program in the not too distant future. 

## **Conclusion** 

Whilst the founding principles and values on which NEEDS Africa was founded remain unchanged, much in the world around us has changed since our inception ten years ago, so there is need for us as an organization to review and critically assess our workings to ensure that we remain current and in touch with the needs and challenges that the people who we seek to help are facing. 

Due to this ongoing process of self-assessment, there has been a marked reduction in our overall activities as we seek to repurpose and re-focus our efforts to ensure that we meet our objectives and fulfill our vision to change Africa one life at a time for the better, and that we do so in an ethical, moral and sustainable way. 

Finally, I would like to thank the trustees of NEEDS Africa as well as all who have continued to support us and enable us to do the work that we are privileged to do. Every bit of support - cash or in kind - goes a long way in helping to make a positive difference in the lives of those less fortunate than ourselves. I would like to encourage you to continue to be a part of this good and noble work. May the blessings of the good Lord be your portion.
