Greetings to you all. 

The last year has been one of our most challenging to date as we, along with everyone else, have had to find a way to cope with the effects of the Covid19 pandemic. Having said that, I would like to say a special thank you to all those who have continued to support us and make it possible for us to in turn support those less fortunate and in need. 

The year 2021 was a particularly painful year for us as we saw the death of another one of our partners and a close friend, Reverend Vernon Vera. In the past he was part of a NEEDS Africa team that conducted several leadership training workshops in Zimbabwe. Along with his wife, Sharon, he facilitated a NEEDS Africa mission trip to Lesotho where leadership workshops for church and community leaders, as well as prison chaplains, were conducted. He was a man with a heart for the disadvantaged and underprivilege and along with Sharon, supported many children and vulnerable people. 

Despite all the challenges that the year presented us, I am pleased to inform you that we were still able to give support and assistance to a number of organizations working in Southern Africa, examples of these being AALT Zimbabwe (for the support of orphans and children living with HIV), Rise of Hope Academy (football for disadvantaged boys in Gweru, Zimbabwe) and HTPM South Africa (stationery and equipment for preschool) to name a few. 

We look forward to continuing to do what we can to improve the lives and wellbeing of the disadvantaged and marginalized of Africa.
