CONSITUTION
The charity is constitured with a management committee, consisting of the three trustees listed above. These members were voted in by voting members. Full details of the charity's constitution can be found in their governing constitution document.
CHARITY PURPOSE AND OBJECTS
To support both adoptees and adopters as adoptive family units To promote the relief and advance the education of parents caring for, or proposing to care for children adopted or placed for adoption, and amongst adopted children and members of their adoptive families, which may result from the impact of adoption on their lives
To advance education in the adoption process and how it can provide a secure, stable and loving home for children of all ages and nationalities, through the provision of support, education and information about adoption.
To advance the education and training of persons who are concerned with the support needs which may arise as a result of the impact of adoption.
TRUSTEES APPOINTMENTS
Trustees appointments are for a 12 month period and are re-voted on annually
OBJECTIVES AND AIMS
Each year we review the activities that have taken place to ensure we have achieved our aims and objectives, furthermore we look at how the aims and objectives can be extended and improved, before planning activities based on previous successes. As the charities members have grown in number over time we have ensured that we have revisited this to ensure that the members are benefiting in line with our aims and objectives.
PUBLIC BENEFIT STATEMENT
During the course of the year the activites, training and opportunities that have been on offer have been available to all of our members all of the time. In terms of public benefit the only public able to access our services are those related to adoption (adoptees, adopters, prospective adopters, family of adopters and adoptees), this is as a result of the safeguarding of the members. The promotion of adoption was extended to all public and has been covered at several events that have been held.
FINANCIAL INFORMATION
Accounts have been prepared for the period 01/04/2022 - 31/03/2023. During this year the charity's main source of income was from member's subs and fundraising. The Reserves held at 31/03/2023 were £2483.70 The success financially and otherwise in Forever Families can be direct attributed to the support of the trustees, volunteers, it's members and local business support. The reserves held at the year end will be held to fund upcoming events, and to promote the aims and objectives of the charity.
Under Charity Commission thresholds, neither Audit nor External examination were required
RISK MANAGEMENT
A risk management register is maintained and reviewed at least annually. Risks already on the register to assess their ongoing risk and any newly identified risks added and a management put in place
