They**<br>**also assist with advice and guidance if**<br>**necessary to the carer/parent/partner to**<br>**aid the swimmer.**<br>**For the more able and independent**<br>**swimmer who attends the swim session**<br>**it can provide respite for the**<br>**carer/parent/partner.**<br>**The Trustees considered these activities**<br>**met the Clubs Charitable objectives.**<br>**We monitor and review our services**<br>**every year.**<br>**We ensure our funds and donations**<br>**meet the aims and objectives we**<br>**requested them for.**|

The Club also has a**<br>**Facebook page.**<br>**The social activities enable our disabled**<br>**members to access the local community**<br>**safely and feel less isolated.  This year**<br>**many social events were organised**<br>**including a cream tea, several café get**<br>**togethers, boat trips, AGM social, picnic**<br>**and our Xmas party.**<br>**All the activities of the Club aim to**<br>**increase the confidence, health and**<br>**well-being and self-esteem of our**<br>**members.**|

|A description of the principal<br>risks facing the charity|Para 1.46|**QE Leisure Centre (where our weekly**<br>**swim session takes place) faced closure**<br>**as Dorset Council planned to cease**<br>**funding the centre from 31/03/2024.  The**<br>**centre was currently jointly run by Queen**<br>**Elizabeth School and Dorset Council. In**<br>**January 2024, after an unsuccessful**<br>**attempt finding a private company to take**<br>**over the centre, closure was confirmed.**<br>**Initio Trust (who run QE School) will take**<br>**over the running of the pool from**<br>**01/04/2024 and although there will be no**|





**public use clubs such as ours will be permitted to hire the pool (providing own lifeguards).  After works that needed to be completed the pool is planned to reopen – date to be notified by Initio Trust. The club searched for a local pool offering exclusive hire but this was not possible so until the pool at QE reopens the Club will swim at Ferndown Leisure Centre in a public session on Saturday afternoon.**
