**191Genesis Care** ## **– Chairman of the Trustees Report February 2022 January 2023** The end of the eighth year of our charitable status. Our activities this year still have been slowed by the recovery from the Covid Pandemic. We were able to remain open for the entire year although we worked at lower levels than we anticipated. Please see the attached audited accounts. Although we have been a charity for 8 years Genesis has been offering out services from the same buildings for 17 years. Chorley Methodist Church, however, have given us notice that we must vacate their premises by September 2023. This is, of course a major problem as we will need new premises up and running by then. We have been in discussion with Chorley Council for several years and, in spite many words of support, no assistance in finding new premises has been forthcoming. In anticipation of this we have £50,000 In our new premises account and we will be applying for grant funding where appropriate. We have the full support and assistance from our staff, and we are working hard to secure a new well equipped and welcoming home for Genesis care NW. I would like to thank all the Staff, Volunteers and Trustees that make Genesis Care the success that it is for their hard work, patience and support.
