## **– Chairman of the Trustees Report February 2021 January 2022**
The end of the seventh year of our charitable status.
Our activities this year have been curtailed by the Covid Pandemic.
We were able to remain open for the entire year although we worked at reduced levels due to Covid Safety restrictions and a fall in service users due to shielding.
The number of service user places taken up rose from 812 in 2020-2021. to 1907 for 20212022. This was still 680 less than the 2019-2020 figures but was a good achievement considering the restrictions that were still were in place.
Our accounts show a profit of £11,503 for this period, however, this was largely helped by grants, reduction of our rent and various donations
Again, on a positive note, we had no cases of Covid brought into our centre, and, therefore, no transmission of Covid via our centre. Considering we were open for the entire year this is an achievement we can be proud of and was due entirely to the diligence and professionalism of our staff who ensured all safety procedures were followed, and that all precautions were in place to protect both the service users and staff from the pandemic.
Although we have been a charity for 7 years Genesis has been offering out services from the same buildings for 17 years and is now obvious that we need to move to premises that can meet our current needs. This will become a major part of our objectives for the forthcoming year
I would like to thank all the Staff, Volunteers and Trustees that make Genesis Care the success that it is, and for all their hard work and patience in order to make Genesis the success that it is.

## **Report of the Accountant to the directors of GENESIS CARE (NORTH WEST) LIMITED (the company)**
These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with our terms of engagement and in order to assist you to fulfil your duties under the Companies Acts that relate to preparing the financial statements of the company for the period ended 31 January 2022.
We have prepared these finance statements based on the accounting records, information and explanations provided by you. We do not express any opinion on the financial statements.
On the Balance Sheet you have acknowledged your duties under the prevailing Companies Acts to ensure that the company keeps adequate accounting records and prepares financial statements that give "a true and fair view".
You have determined that the company is exempt from the statutory requirement for an audit for this accounting period. Therefore, the financial statements are unaudited.
The financial statements are provided exclusively to the directors for the limited purpose mentioned above, and may not be used or relied upon for any other purpose or by any other person, and we shall not be liable for any other usage or reliance.

These accounts have been prepared in accordance with the micro-entity provisions and delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.
The average number of persons employed by the company in the period was 9 (previous period: 0).
