## **Welcome to our AGM Meeting 2022** 

You are all welcome to New Life Kingdom International Ministries AGM for 2022 New life Kingdom International Ministries brings together individuals from Reading and charities and the local authority to work together to help to improve education opportunities, and carry out activities for the welfare, recreation and leisure for the young people who live in the local area. The association is run entirely by volunteers and undertakes activities from the Hexham . Community Centre

## **Achievements and challenges** 

During the past year, new Life Kingdom International Ministries has been able to accomplish the following 


## **Freetown Fire Disaster** 

On 5 November 2021 a collision between a petrol fuel tanker and a lorry at a busy junction of Sierra Leone 's capital, Freetown, resulted in an explosion and a fire that caused 154 deaths and 304 injuries, overwhelming the city's medical services. New Life Kingdom provided funds for the purchase medicines that were donated to the Military Hospital and Connaught Hospital were most of the victims were admitted for treatment.

## **CHALLENGES** 


The Association also struggled to recruit volunteers. This has had an impact on the extent to which the programmes can be extended to the wider community. 

New Life Kingdom International Ministries wants to also take this opportunity to thank all the volunteers for the wonderful job they have done over the year. 

## **FUTURE PLANS** 

1. In partnership with Hexham Community Association to run Hexham Youth Club 

2. Installation of drinks and coffee machines 

3. Educational programmes for Reading Community 

4. Advertising activities of New Life Kingdom International Ministries to the wider community 

5. Getting residents to be more active in participating in activities 

6. Community sports between the estates 

7. Cultural shows 

8. Charity shop 

9. Providing help for the over 50s
