The Trustees confirm that they have paid due regard to the Charity Commission guidance on public benefit before deciding what activities the charity should undertake.

ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE

Glory, honour, power and majesty be unto our LORD Jesus Christ who is the LORD of lords and the King of kings for His provision and protection over every member of the Overcomers Christian Fellowship International, our loved ones, our community and our Nation - United Kingdom.

The year 2021 as declared by God as our “Year of Fulfilment of Our Divine Expectations” (Prov.23:18) did manifest physically upon our lives indeed. Covid-19 global pandemic still rages on; but the protective wings of the Almighty God overshadowed us throughout the year 2021.

REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES – continued

The unrelentless zeal of the workers, volunteers and all members of this ministry despite the challenging year is well appreciated by the Pastorate on behalf of the Trustees of this great Church of the living God. Heaven will reward every one of you in Jesus name. Your participative but adaptive role in meeting our mandates as enshrined in our constitution and as exemplified by our LORD Jesus Christ in the Scripture well noted and immensely appreciated.

The year under review to the glory of the name of our Lord Jesus Christ witnessed our successful virtual and on-ground annual convention programmes. The Covid-19 vaccination enlightenment conference featuring presentation of the Director of Vaccination programme in Devon; and NHS Devon; actually broadened the knowledge of not only the Church members; but other community Church leaders , their congregational members; and the entire community especially of the BAME origins. The ripple effect was the increase in the uptake of Covid-19 vaccination in our community. The convention was capped up with the BBC spotlight interview with Pastor Mike Ileladewa on the 9[th] of March 2021.

The AGM, Women and Men’s conventions via our various online media outlets mixed with physical presence of members and visitors in the Church witnessed heavenly blessings upon the lives of members and the community as a whole. The Zoom app mode of worship also gave opportunity for global participation of members in diaspora and encouraged other people to participate in our worship services.

The Church did support the community members on isolation that were affected by Covid-19 pandemic in terms of shopping for essential groceries under the government’s Covid-19 rules and guidelines for them. Food bank activities were done to less privileged members in the community in the year under review. Church members also visited the homeless people on the streets offering them food packages, winter jackets and blankets.

Three children were born to three families of the Church members in the year 2021, and had their christening done by the Church. Member’s pre-marital and spiritual counselling on various issues of life affecting members done virtually with great benefits to the members, and the community at large.

The Student branch of the Church meeting at the Plymouth University Campus continues with their virtual meetings every Saturday for “Happy Hour”.

4

THE OVERCOMERS CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP INTERNATIONAL PLYMOUTH

REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES - continued

Annual donations of food items, cereals, toiletries and other essential items donated by members were given to “Shekinah Mission” in meeting our commitments in caring for the homeless people in our community; which was tremendously appreciated by “Shekinah Mission” especially during this challenging but unpredictable period.

The Pastorate attended the Leader’s Annual Conference organised by Churches Together in Plymouth (CTiP) online as part of our wider community participation with other faith members.

The yearly running of 40 days fasting and prayer period was observed by the members, especially with intensified prayers for our leaders at both local and national levels; and our nation United Kingdom in general.

The Annual Carol Night service was attended both virtual and physical presence by both members and the community members as well. The “Cross Over” Service was also a great success as well.

The year 2022 has been declared by God as our “Year of Reaping Great Harvests” (Lev.26:10). The awesome testimonies of members from early January in 2022 have been proving that the year 2022 is actually what God said it would be for us (REAPING GREAT HARVESTS) indeed!
