Treasurers Report for the period from February 2024 to 2025
The total income for the accounting period April 2023 to 2024 was £4,475.00 This included a grant received from Sefton Council for £1,869.
The outgoings of the library for the period April 2023 to 2024 were £6,454.
Leaving a loss for the year of £1,709.
Most of the income during the accounting year of 2023 to 2024 came from fund raising activity by the Library volunteers and some small donations, plus the aforementioned grant from Sefton Council.
During the year February 2024 to 2025, the Trustees and other Library volunteers have been busy consolidating the good start from the library opening in October 2023. We have been working on improving our communications to the local community and encouraging links with local organisations e.g. schools, sports and social clubs and the wider public by our participation in local events such as the Botanic Gardens Summer Fair and Churchtown Village Christmas Fair.
We are currently in a recruitment drive to bring in more volunteers and some specialist expertise for moving the library forward and consolidating the good start that we have made during our first year of operation.
